Wedding Diet Thread....

I know what you mean Em, personally I tend to start a diet thinking that I'll eat healthily for a little bit and go to the gym a couple of times and end up looking like Elle MacPherson in no time at all. Just remember youre doing it the best way and how far you've come already. 3st is really good.0

Thanks
I just wish it was easier sometime. My whole family are on the curvey side and are always on and off diets. Wish I was just one of those people who was naturally skinny. My BM is a skinny size 8-10 and looks great. The biggest she has probably been though is a 12. She has lost weight since living on her own through a mixture of 'can't be bothered to cook for one' and lack of money so having lots of beans on toast. Plus she goes to the gym 3 times a week. Now I know I much prefer having OH to live with and cooking for us both, makes me try lots of different things, and the funds to buy what we want but I do look at her and think 'I wish I was as skinny as you' but I never will be as I am meant to be a curvy hour glass figure.0 -
I've always been the same. My mums side of the family are all curvy. I've inherited my mums figure but her legs are longer than mine (we're the same height but I have a longer body) so even if we're the same size she looks thinner than me. My cousins are slim but they've been in a sort of competition with each other since they were kids so they've always watched what they eat.0

My family, mum, sister, cousins etc are all thin. They are like a size 8. So I have no excuse! I just want to drop a dress size! How hard can it possible be?!?!:T0
-
I have my mum's figure too but a shorter version of it as she is around 5 ft 8 and I am only 5 ft 5 ish. I do like my figure when I am a bit skinnier as I like having curves but when I put weight on it goes straight to my tummy and face
on the plus side when i loose weight that is where i loose it from too.
I just want to go down one more size too Jo and it is the hardest bit. It must be hard when the rest of the family is diddy and probably makes you feel a lot bigger than you actually are.0 -
Well, I have always had huge thighs... But it's bad when the rest of me is a 10 ish, n I struggle to fit into 12 trousers cos my thighs are too big!
My mum is only 5.2, so it doesn't seem like she's really thin, but just appears proportioned!:T0 -
One of my friends is like that she is only 5 ft and is a size 6, but because she is so little she looks in proportion. That said I do have another friend who is the same height and is probably a size 18.
Can I suggest wearing lots of skirts Jo?? heehee (not meant in a mean way honestly!)0 -
The worst part of my weight loss is that Im not even sure I'll change dress size. I'm size 14 now, and the last time I lost weight, I lost 2 and a half stone and I went from a 16 to a 14, and I weighed 11 stone exactly. I want to be 10 and a half stone for the wedding.
As I said before, I've got the same figure as my mum and she told me that the lightest she's ever been was 7 and a half stone (she was pretty ill) and she was still a size 14. Damn these big bones!0 -
Ha ha! I have started wearin a lot more dresses and skirts recently actually!
Although I have found for work trousers gap are my saviours! They do a curvy range which actually fit! (n they are a size 10 as well... Which makes it seem so much better!) I brought 2 more pairs in the Xmas sale for £20.:T0 -
My dress sizes don't change very quickly either. I have lost nearly 3 stone and have only gone down 2 sizes. I would like to loose another 2 stone and go down another dress size. We shall see how long it takes.
I wear dresses and skirts almost all the time to work (try to wear heals quite often too as feel they make me look more professional haha) but live in jeans at home. It's great when you find a brilliant pair of trousers isn't it. The gutting thing is if they stop doing them! (not to scare you)0
