There's a clue that sounds like a galaxy tab coming up at 9pm. I have to be there for that.

1 week every year during America's Thanksgiving week, shops in America do big discounts on lots of items. Probably to clear their stock before getting Xmas stuff. Amazon do it here and a couple of other shops. Last day today.

I've bought most of my Xmas presents for people this week thanks to black friday.

  • Hi everyone! I've been off this board for a while, having fallen off the dieting wagon in a big way. *blushes* The stresses of dieting for the wedding got to me, I think, and stress always makes me eat too much. Talk about catch 22...

Anyway, I've had a stern word with myself, and am back on the diet for a couple of weeks now, but this time round I'm trying not to get too bogged down in focusing on it (ie worrying about it!). But I've been popping by for a read of this thread to see how you're all doing. I'm glad you guys are seeing some successes! :T And, Rups, I'm curious to know did those tablets ever do any good?

Also, I have a question for you all. I've dropped 18 pounds so far, which (when I'm sticking to the diet!) is based on about a pound-a-week weight loss, on a daily calorie intake of between 1250 and 1650 a day (I'm currently a size 18, and according to MyFitnessPal my daily calorie target is 1650). That's fine, but I have a posh do to go to in 10 days' time, and I'm trying to fit into a dress I bought that's a bit too tight. In other words, I could do with losing more than just a pound or so before then.

So my question is: do you have any tips for a quick one-week diet blast? My only thoughts so far are to stick to around 1200 calories a day in the week before the do, keep carbs to a minimum, exercise lots and maybe take something like Aquaban. But do any of you have any other ideas/words of wisdom?
  • Even apple do it... Although its usually just a fiver off a £1000 product! :rotfl: ridiculous! :p

"The day you've waited 364 days for"

    Ipad 2 £368.00
    Was £399.00
    Save £31.00 :rotfl:

Lol yea right. I don't like Apple and this is just . I saved more than double that on straighteners.
  • Welcome back MsShopper! :) I think keeping carbs to a minimum would reduce bloating, so that would work. And try a body wrap as you can usually loose a cm or 2 from that. BUT these are only temporary fixes, so expect to go back up again after!
Exercising that much prob won't make that much difference in a week, but it's a good habit to get in to. I also wouldn't recommend eating 1200, esp if you exercise as well.
