I didn't think you could get student discount on some apple items; I am sure we looked when I got my ipod touch but there wasn't any discount. Lucky you Jo getting discount on everything. I am an apple fan but not a fan of the cost! lol. OH has an ipad which is pretty cool but not really needed with all the other stuff in our flat. However I always said he could have one once he got a job so it is what he bought with his first pay packet!! heehee (he did buy me a new Radley bag too though
)
Just having my lunch; carrot, cucumber and pepper sticks, couple of breadsticks, pineapple, yogurt coated blackcurrants and a pack of mini jaffa cakes (atleast I can have a whole pack this way without feeling bad!!)0 -
Love Radley bags!!! Well we didn't actually buy our iPad, but I could have got a discount on it through work. Again a minute amount!:T0

I used to love Radley bags; I don't like the new dog so it puts me off! lol. Apple are so popular anyway they don't need to do good deals do they.
Really tempted by chip shop chips for dinner as OH is away and I pass one on my way home that smells really nice lol0 -

I'm not a fan of the new bags either... They seem to have gone with patent leather.

Haha yeah exactly Jo; just think of the money you are saving!
Rups I love the pop corn you get at the cinema all warm and sweet yummy. OH doesn't like pop corn though so I feel really bad if I have it 'cos it comes in huge portions and I eat it all! lol0 -
I don't really 'do' popcorn. I like it, but find it the worst food to eat at the cinema... All I ever hear is crunch, crunch crunch! I prefer choc raisins, it's fruit you know!!!! :rotfl:
So lucky your seeing it tonight Rups! I wanna see it again! (having a temper tantrum, lol!):T0 -
lol you have seen it though.. yes that annoys me about people in the cinema. i always sit next to or infront of annoying people, who either kick my seat or eat like a pig! i eat when the music is loud. hehe.. thats one of my pet hates, the way people eat and make noise. grrrr.i cant wait to see it though. dont think hubby is keen though as this morning his facial expression made me laugh. lol
choc raisins? ewww. i wish i liked raisins.
em your right about the size in the cinema. i used to get large all the time and then swapped to the smallest one. today's toffee popcorn i hope makes me feel sick after a while so i can stop! :0) i doubt it though.Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Not only is it the worst food to eat at the cinema because of the crunching. It's the worst food (probably) for you.Misconceptions
Tim Smith of the U.K. Food Standards Agency worries that many moviegoers believe popcorn to be a low-calorie or even calorie-free snack, according to a February 2010 article in "The Times." This misconception may lead moviegoers to order large portions of popcorn without realizing how many calories it contains.
Estimates
A nutritionist from "The Times" calculated that a large bag of sweet popcorn from a Cineworld theater in London contained about [STRIKE]1,800[/STRIKE] 1 calories. The bag weighed 375 g. To minimize the number of calories in your popcorn order, choose the smallest size available and share with a friend. Skip the added butter.
Comparisons
"Daily Mail" suggests that the large bags of sweet or salty popcorn at U.K. movie theaters such as Cineworld can contain as many calories as [STRIKE]a full meal with a large serving of curry, side dishes and two bottles of beer, or a meal of pizza, garlic bread and tiramisu[/STRIKE] a lettuce leaf.
