Right guys - I'll be joining you properly from tomorrow (not just reading/flitting in and out).
This, for me, isn't so much about my weight as I'm a healthy BMI (just) and wear a size 10 (although I'm about a stone heavier than I'd like to be). I want to feel bright and fresh, full of energy and ready to tackle the world. Not sluggish, uncomfortable and generally yucky. I have been eating crap for the last 5 weeks (pretty much since I broke up from school). I need to eat sensibly again (I know what that is for me - I just have to stick to it!). I need to cook and not just phone for a takeaway cause I can't be arsed to cook. I need to control my sugar highs and lows! I do want to get my fitness back (where I can run 5K in under 30 mins). I am not going to weigh myself until October half term (I will weight myself tomorrow when I start). I will go on how my clothes feel (looser hopefully lol), and how my fitness is improving. I need to start running again - I will go for a run tomorrow - to emphasis how out of touch I really am and to motivate me to get back on the wagon. When I'm running for a goal (like the Race for lifes) I have to be fit, and have to be healthy. My next running goal - Lincoln 10K - feels like ages away (March 2012) so I need to not use that as an excuse to be unfit now.
There I've said it.So tomorrow afternoon please ask me how my run went!

Morning ladies.
sorry it was one of those looong wedding planning weekends again! grrr
Belated happy birthday Ellay. Hope you had a lovely birthday.
Code i agree with Dolly, that being super skinny is not attractive at all! having curves is the sexiest thing ever, so let us all celebrate them! you willl look amazing and your hubby-to-be loves you and will think you def look very sexy! ;0)
I am so tired today, again! OH had his comedy last night, which went sooo well but was a late night.. yawn. havent been eating that well but thats not new is it? hehe have a PT session today. must get my big a-s back into it otherwise i will be lazy! groan
Code, i think try and eat what you are comfy with and cut down carbs from 6pm onwards. that way you are stll eating essential carbs that you def need for the gym and stuff and having more protein! I liked that article, thanks!
xx back to sleepy world now. heheBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Morning all!
Welcome jojo, Claree and MrsDrink! Here's to a healthy and motivated week!
Code, your dress fitting sounds stressful, but I bet you looked amazing nonetheless. As others have said, there's nothing sexier on a woman than curves, and your man will be mesmerised by you in all your bridal fabulousness.
I'm back on it after a so-so weekend. My mantra (scary sergeant major voice) is back with a vengeance: "DO YOU WANT THAT DRESS?!!" (Me: "YES I DO!")0 -

Ah, you can do it Rups! You always seem really pumped after you've had a good session. It'll be worth it.
My money won't stretch to the gym, so I'm relying on the repetitive "You've gotta fight for it!" words from Jillian...0 -
ms you are so good. i am still faffing around with the weights here. have to take the last 3 kg ones home today and i am done.. im tired now. the PT killed me. I dont have the money for it too but have let myself have this treat up until the wedding and then i will stop. he was so good before and i had lost loads of weight. i did a bit of boxing with him and i died and he made me work some weights and also abs. im totally knocked out! its too much effort to eat too. sigh..
god knows when i want to do stuff like shred or yoga. i need early bed time tonight.
ps. if u girls would like to see OH perform his comedy, let me know and i can send a link (i know its not diet-related) hehe.

Hey Jo. hope your good. he does it all around London. Yesterday, we were in Whitechapel and I think next week, he is planning to do one at the Lions Den in Picaddily circus. he has registered with all these comedy places and they let him have an open mic for 5 mins. been filming him on mu rubbish phone hehe and hes put up links on facebook and you tube.
He would now love for people to come and watch him as he is a bit more confident.
some of these comedy places are so good and no one has to pay to get in. Only rarely do people have to pay (like at the Lion's den). i think its about 4 pounds. :0) x

Hey all.
May I offer some thoughts?
Your body is a machine.
It needs an energy source to work.
However, unlike machines that are not alive, if WE put too much fuel into our bodies, it can't just spill over onto the station forecourt for example, it gets converted into fat and stored.
So there are TWO basic premises to be aware of.
1. Don't put more fuel into the 'machine' than it needs to function and
2. Up the activity level in order to use up some of the excess you already have stored.
These two things MUST go hand in hand.
Do NOT starve yourselves as your body will compensate by trying harder to hang on to what it has to protect itself.
No one can tell you what is the 'correct' fuel amount (calories required to lose or even maintain weight as it is linked to your metabolic rate ie how 'active' your body is even when resting.
But its easy to find out. Start on say 2000 calories a day; stick at it for a week and then reduce by say 100 calories a day.
It is NOT recomended to get below about 1200 cals per day or your body goes into starvation mode.
Then if you find what your own calorie requirements are to lose 1 1/2 to 2 lbs per week, stick at that level and then UP YOUR ACTIVITY!
This can be going to the gym, walking, running, Wifit or anything else you like.
Just parking furthest from the entrance to the supermarket helps!
Most folk who follow a sensible eating plan and still don't lose weight are either
a) eating too much, even if it is healthy
b) not being active enough
c) kidding themselves about what goes in their mouths!
Remember, even things like squash have calorific values!
The other option is to get gall stones, get rushed in for an operation and then you'll NEVER fail to be aware EVER AGAIN of what you are eating!! Happened to me and so far I've lost 1 1/2 stone without trying!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Good luck all.
Remember, you're beautiful any which way but healthy will give you the best chance of a long and happy life together.:T0
