For what it's worth there was a Which report on laptops in November and the Packard Bell Easynote MV51-120 above came in last with 54%. Sound and versatility were rated poor, most other categories were scored as acceptable. On the bright side they said the screen was good.

Whats the dell laptop like to this one then??0

Dells personally to me seem expensive in comparison. That 1GB of ram is very important on a laptop. What youll find is the laptop will run slow if it lacks memory and 1gb is a nice amount.
Heres a review on the compaq.

Personally..im heading towards the compaq ..it seems the better laptop although I know i dont need that extra 1.4 hours which the tosh gives....some might.0 -
Lets buy one together an see if they will give us a better deal..just down the road from you!

Yes but the equivalent to the compaq is well over 500 quid... infact if you add memory its pushing the 600 quid amount....dont forget Dell dont add VAT on the main web site.
Whats confusing me at the moment though is its adding a symantec software to the bundle... earlier i managed to not have this. (for the compaq)0 -
I just added it from the home page and it hasnt added the bundle but from the laptop page it does.Try it0
