Just ordered the Toshiba laptop A100-147 for £449 from Currys but be quick.I phoned and told them I have it cut out of a leaflet for £499 yet it was now £599 on their website.I said I saw it in Meadowhall for £499 yesterday and that it should be that price.Told me yes it should be and I can have it for £499 the and used Hot deals code so now for £449 with free delivery. Shame I couldn't run it through quidco for extra discount.

Got the Compaq this afternoon - works great, looks great - wrapping it up fer Christmas now - told off by 11 year old daughter :(
  • I have received the Toshiba laptop today.
I am no good at computers.
I already have a Linksys wireless router ( on NTL cable) supplying internet access to another pc via a USB adapter.
I would like to connect this laptop to the same Router also purely for internet access , but I do not know how to.( as the other PC has USB adapter had a driver CD to intall the USB adapter).
Can somebody please guide me step by step to search for this router & connect to it?
    Thank you.
  • Got my £449 Toshiba last week.
Missus was off so now wrapped and under tree.
    Will have to wait PATIENTLY!!!!!!!!
  • The Toshiba laptop is already wireless enabled so it should be just a matter of making sure u av the switch for wifi on the right hand side turned on then searching for any available wireless network. Your laptop should then automatically pick up the wireless network and it's just a matter of connecting to this. Ain't 100%, but almost sure that's all it involves. Maybe someone else could correct me if i'm wrong.
  • have a bit of a problem with this laptop, wifi internet is disconnecting when its unplugged from the mains? it can still see the internet connection but just says network cable unplugged?

    anyone have any ideas??

Matthew, have a play around with the power saving profile and check the Wireless network interface properties.
Best place to ask would be the techie forum.
