Well I've now caught up :j and with this slow internet it has taken me days :rotfl: What an emotional up and down life you've all been having. I've felt excited/saddened/optimistic/thankful/concerned for you all as the postings unfolded.
    For example:
MG on about page 4 you wrote about you and your boys in the garden and how much joy there was in your life. Then your sense of failure in the carpark many pages later made me want to show you your earlier post, but you've bounced back :D Claire's wobble with her OH.......then he bought her knickers :D
It is worth re-reading sometimes, it certainly helps to remind me that "These things shall pass" :p

We have been in a state of uncertainty with Popeye's work since Christmas  Things may, or definitely will or will not change for him :rotfl: Today the mood is that we'll definitely be somewhere else by the end of this year.........
(Day before yesterday we're here for another 2 years.......)
    I'm hating the uncertainty :(

But today I've started to nibble at my massive frog :)

Hello all. Last night I rediscovered what makes my heart sing (yes another thing - amazing how many there are when you stop to smell the roses). I was driving towards home in a westerly direction - into the sunset. Shostakovich 5 on the radio and the prospect of a chilled out weekend lying before me. The welsh hills are at their most beautiful at sunset I think and I admit to having a little tear of joy when I think about how much I DO have in my life.

After a very lazy morning I am now going for a tootle to the prom with Moo. I always feel like an alist celebrity when out in a busy place with him because we are always a great attraction.

MG, you are doing just brilliantly on your budget. I re read an article about Kathy Kelly who lived on £1 a day for a year in order to buy her brother a wedding present. She bought him a lifetime membership to the National Trust! She wrote a book all about her experiences too. If she can do it so can you!

I made a plan (a la Secret) yesterday. This time I am going to stick with metaphysics. Watching the movie last night it all made more sense than the book - and the message is 'change your thinking', avoid using the words denoting what you don't want. In your case 'play' is fine with the Universe but look at the words you are using often: challenge, mortgage...The Universe hears 'challenge' and it sends you some; it hears 'mortagage' and it keeps it as your companion. Just right a 'plan' without mentioning the word (e.g. I will own my house outright' instead of 'I will have no mortgage') and get on with life.

Sound like mysticism but as I saif before, goven that it is possible to measure thought they have energy and mass; anything that has mass has gravity - the law of attraction makes sense.

Thanks for this FW, as a new recruit to The Secret it's always helpful to hear someone else's take on it, and especially helpful to see something written in a positive way :).

I've got the film in my LF list and will shortly move it up to high priority so that it comes the next time I send something back.

But, Universe....I would like to own both the book and the film of The Secret, please :D.

I love this Cherisong. I also enjoyed a Welsh sunset yesterday at the beach and it was beautiful! The sky was pink and lilac and the sun just peeping out from behind a few clouds. If you saw my post last night you'll know that I was a bit down, but the trip to the seaside, the sunset and fish n chips soon perked me up :D.

Been, I hadn't seen your post but just went back and read it. Somedays we all get down for no obvious reasons. Welsh anything makes me happy these days. Glad you saw the same sunset as me! Shame mine wasnt at the beach but the pinks and lilacs at the beach are breathtaking some nights. I particularly love Ynyslas for the sunsets!

Thanks Cheri, I've just g00gled Ynyslas, and can see why it would look gorgeous at dusk. It's much further west/north than me, I was at Porthcawl and using my rose-tinted specs to see past the obvious crowds, fairground and general kiss-me-quick stuff. We parked up near Rest Bay, so the riff-raff :o was behind us and the sunset ahead. It was lovely :).

Hello lovely ladies - where did the day go???

One thing left on the "would like to do list" - meal plan for next week that is SW and kiddie friendly.

In the meantime - maybe a little light ironing with the telly might be on the cards for tonight - then another look at my T-Lists preparing for my "get clear about the goals" session on Sunday.

I've got a "going beack to school feeling" - so Im taking that as a good thing

  • afternoon all, as normal all the chat has continued at a rate of knots! :rotfl:

Beencounting, I am with you on the exams being the biggest slog and being proud of being able to knuckle down and see something through to the end. I almost gave up but I had previously dropped out of uni trying out 3 courses along the way, and really really wanted to not feel like a failure (even though I wasn't bothered about dropping out as it was the right thing for me, at the time I felt like everyone looked at me as though I was if that makes sense).

I look back now at how hard I worked for it and how I was rewarded at the end, and what it has got me since then, and I really should 'use' that feeling more as I am sooooo bad for being a great starter but a rubbish finisher :D

can't remember who the other CIMA person was but I did my finals the last sitting of the old structure, just before the TOPCIMA thing came in. A long time ago. But nice when I get my paperwork through with ACMA on - I forget most of the time. Just need to change it all into my old name rather than my married name now! :j

hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

PS cherisong - I live in rural North Essex not far from the seaside, and we get some beautiful sunsets here, heart stopping on some days, so I am with you on a few tears coming to the eyes at times! When I used to get the train into work in London at daft o'clock, there was often some very magical fog in the fields too which was jawdropping. Give me a sunset and I am a happy girl! It has taken the debt free journey to make me appreciate them :)
