Stick with it Crickett, it's worth it in the end (I'm ACCA)...[stands up to be counted with the other accountants...and quickly sits back down again! ] Looking back at the exams though, it was really tough, but stands out as being a time when I stuck with something through to the bitter end, and yes, it was really painful! I could do with visualising that dedication and perseverance and applying it to my new venture now. Hey ho.
Been a bit down today, don't know why, but seem to have run out of steam and feel frustrated by lack of progress. Perhaps I'll have an early night tonight and start again tomorrow.Full LBM 26 Sept 110 -

Good on you Crickett. I am another ACCA one and I will - I WILL after my exam on 9th of June start getting on with my PER (unless I decide to organise go walkies event to raise money for guide dogs instead of doing PER )"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

I finally qualified as a chartered accountant in 1979 - after a previous "little disagreement" with the management accounts examiner!! I was so traumatised by the whole process (pass rate was 19% when I took PE2) that I swore I would never take another exam - and it took me about 5 years before I could face taking my driving test - and that was before you had to pass a theory test! I don't know how I would ever have coped with having to put together a portfolio - you have my deepest sympathy. But it is good to see the letters after your name and know that you really sweated for them - so keep at it!!It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0
