  • MG - you are braver than I would be. I don't do ladders. Ever. Scared of heights... plus a total wuss!! :D

I have something of note to report to the Matrix... Ladies... I have embarked on getting the CIPFA portfolio completed. I have booked 3 whole days in my diary in the next two weeks to do nothing but portfolio stuff. I have plugged myself into my music and I am ignoring the world and concentrating on getting the damned thing done. All positive vibes for a smooth conclusion to this flipping horrible piece of work would be most gratefully received. Thank you!!

Right, best get back to it. The cowbag is annoying me intensely today. I have had to resist the opportunity to choke her on several occasions. She is still breathing... so yay me! :D

oooh crickett1234, major good luck/positive vibes from me. I am a CIMA person and had 5 years to fill in my membership application after passing my finals. Do you think I did it in good time? Did I heck  It went special delivery 2 days before the deadline, I was so embarrassed. But not embarrassed to have done it any earlier :rotfl:

It will be well worth it when it's done. Repeat after me :D (am sure you are telling yourself that already!)

have been struggling to keep up but MG, glad the back is getting better and well done on the ladder, I am ladder phobic too, but guess if needs must, I would get on with it as well! and great news that the mentors are working with you rather than forcing you to work with them!

susan, I am so relieved to hear your GS was given the all clear and seen so quickly, it sounded so awful from the first post you made about him.

positive thoughts for anyone else who needs them too :) and how lovely to hear of all the cheques being written and the results!

15 mins heart singing update - this is still happening here I am proud to report. I have a new instrument to play with, it's electric and so I need an amp but mum has borrowed one from one of her friends so I should pick that up tonight. I am desperate to get going on this as it will massively help towards achieving my goal for the year! I am becoming more confident playing without music and improvising, and working on this for just a short time in just a few days is proving that it's amazing what 15 minutes can do! :j :j

have flaked out with the lurgy today, feeling really out of sorts but if nothing else I am having some peace and quiet and some thinking time.

hope everyone has a fab weekend :T

Oh 'eck, another accountant! The place is overrun with them!

I have to smugly admit, I did my CIMA application a week after TOPCIMA. Only because the pesky exams drove me to the edge of madness a couple of times and far over the actual edge once as well. So to be rid of it was the most amazing, unbelievable release ever!

So go Claire - get it done. Be quaffilied (officially) and bathe in the brightness of the glory for as long as you like.

Any signs of any referendum results - not that it will actually fix the real problem of scumbag politicians :)

Thank you Universe - do you remember how only yesterday I said I needed £270 for a handrail outside my door? Well, the Universe has provided in the form of my lovely mummy calling me up earlier to say that she's realised she has some "spare" money in a bank account she'd forgotten about (only someone like her could forget something like that, lol) and so she has said I'm to go ahead and place my order and she'll pay for it!!

I feel awful because I wanted to get it for myself by saving up over a couple of months but I'm very grateful to her for insisting that I get it done sooner rather than later and as my stupid leg is still hurting a lot, it could well come in handy very soon!

I think referendum results are due sometime after 8pm tonight. I can;t decide whether to watch the results show (there will inevitably be one!) or wait until the 10pm news!! :D What can I say, I am a politics junkie!

Losing the will with this flipping portfolio lark. However pieces of paper and waffly stuff is not going to defeat me. Hell no. I am a law graduate. I have a degree in waffly stuff. :D

crickett - positive vibes for your "stuff", sorry no idea what your portfolio is for but good luck with it :o

souk - WOW you sound pretty employable to me and somewhat in demand :D

MG - Oh dear, that's one of the reasons I quite like my uPVC front door, no double lock. Although DS did manage to lock me out of the house once :eek: Cue frantic phone calls to my mum at neighbours house to bring round spare key. He was about 2.5 years at the time and I'd gone out to bring in the washing as it was raining. Stupidly left the key in the lock and little fingers got busy  Learnt my lesson well that day :rotfl:

OK am going to bore you lot rigid but I have nearly completed my very first item of clothing (if you don't count the hideous sack creation that I was forced to make in Junior school :rotfl:)

Sorry pics aren't great, skirt was half wet still and I've got to sew on the hearts tomorrow. But I am rather proud of my first attempt (with my mum holding my hand all the way :o). Probably not a big deal to you seasoned sew-ers among us but it's a big deal to me (as me and anything sewing related don't normally mix :o)
