Claire - I don't want to come between husband and wife and Lord knows we never know what's going on behind closed doors, but from the things you've told us, well it's abuse isn't it? He wants to dictate where you go, what you do and now who you communicate with. He doesn't show you respect and now he's being verbally abusive. I worry about you.

I know only you can make whatever decisions you need to - but do you think you can find someone to talk to about this in confidence.

Ahoy Matrix, what a glorious day after all the rain yesterday.
Welcome to all the new posters, and Hi to all the regs.
We've had a fab afternoon walking about 5 miles through the forest.
A totally different to the one we usually go to, have driven past it loads of times but today we stopped the car, let the dogs out and just trekked, and there slap-bang in the middle of it we found >>>>>>

I've googled the location and can find no record of this building in the location.
Does anyone know what it is? Or why it would be erected in the middle of a forest. Inside its all gothic arches, its very old. there are no stones which indicate the date of build etc., and as you can see there is a tree groing right out of the roof, no trunk inside, just sprouted and grew.
Thats nosey Dame Leyla and wee Scruffychops looking on lol.

ETA have to agree with MG Claire, this is totally unacceptable. You need to talk to someone, you deserve respect, and to be treated with dignity. Talk to someone yeah? xxx

That's awful, there's no excuse for that. My OH was very much like that a few years back and he used to upset me an awful lot and lose his temper at the slightest thing. I decided one day that enough was enough and stood up to him. He has calmed down a lot since then as he knows that I won't stand for his tantrums and will give as good as I get.

I know it's not easy, but try to stand up to him and tell him he needs to stop talking to you like that and grow up. Like MG says, do you have a close friend that you can talk to about it?

Latest news at Thrifty Towers... some of you may remember a couple of months back that dd entered an acting competition with over 40 entries. Well today was the final and she got 3rd place :T. I know I have mummy goggles but she is soooo good - I am now wrecked after all the nerves (mine not hers) so have opened a bottle of red - medicinal purposes you understand :rotfl:.
