Hi everyone,
I am a long time lurker (new username) and with the new start that Easter brings, I would like to join in too please if that's OK?
I always love a new start but this time I would like to stick to all my goals and promises! I want to make big changes to my work and lifestyle, and hope to support others doing the same.
This week brought me some unexpectedly good news and I am still in a blur about it. I want to hang onto the sense of relief and wonder, and carry this forward to give me the strength to build my life into what I want it to be, and what I know it can be if I put the effort in.
Happy Easter to you all
PS would like to join 'the other side' but not sure how it works, can anyone help please? Thank you!0 -

Found you all:j
Hi Sidneysmum and welcome.
Love gingernuts in this house so thanks for the recipe, will also use it as a base for OH favourite cheesecake too - it is his birthday today and wants cheesecake not birthday cake.
MG did you get any further with the self watering containers?
If it is one you tube can you say where as I am not very adept at searching for stuff there.
Going to spend my 15 minutes today repotting my strawberry plants
I am so impressed by the prices you quote fo your spends - not sure I could get a 30p icecream anywhere round here, however mini it was.
Happy Easter everyone, have a good day0 -
Hello, subscribed. What a lovely day to start a new thread. The sun is shining and everybody seems so positive.
Welcome to Sidneysmum and Lionheartedgirl, how exciting, new people to learn from and share the fun with.
Hmm 15 minutes a day doing what makes my heart sing. Let me see.............. I might just do something that I have loved doing since I was 3 years old and never seem to find time to do anymore. DANCE!! I just thought that I haven't danced since I moved here. That is just wrong.

Hello Matrix members
:easter:
I'm another lurker who would like to take the opportunity of a new thread to delurk. I just love this thread. It is always so positive and cheers me up. It's always the first thread I read when I log on.
I feel like I am having a fresh start myself. It's my 30th birthday tomorrow and I have set myself a challenge of getting debt-free in 5 years (about £7.5k a year).
A bit about me, I live on the south coast with my OH of 10 years. I've got cystic fibrosis so I work from home as it's better for my health. I don't have any children (can't because of my health) but I do have a 3-year-old niece who I adore and my sister is expecting another baby in September.
I'm looking forward to joining in. Have a lovely sunny day everyone

Welcome to the Matrix Emzilla, Sidneysmum and Lionheartedgirl! Happy Birthday Lara!
Have just sat down after putting the lamb into the oven. It is currently making the house smell gorgeous! My three cats and wandering around with their noses all aquiver!Hubby has gone into the kitchen to make the fruit salad which will be our pudding after lunch.
I am really enjoying doing the cooking today. I am not sure what is different from normal, when I find cooking such a bind...! However, I am not going to argue!!
Also arranged to go to see an old family friend next weekend. She is a lovely lady, and has had a bad fall recently which has left her a little incapacitated, so hubby and I are going to go over and do some chores in her garden, take her out for dinner, take her to Church and then drive home. I love doing things like that.
Love the gingernut recipe... thanks for that MG. Might try it a bit later, as I LOVE gingernuts!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -

Think you need to share that recipe BTW - love a good cheesecake

DS1 (I know the ten year old in the house) has just helped me set up a Youtube channel called TheMGmatrix - so apparently in about 15 minutes the video we created this morning should be available to view. Its a bit rough n ready and done on a £20 video camera so don't laugh too much:D)

The "real" price for a cone is 60p - but the toddler can't get through a huge scoop before it starts dribbling down his arm :rotfl:. So one day I asked for a half scoop and they charged me 30p - it was more to save on the laundy than anything else. I notice now that the half-scoop has found it was onto the price list - so there must be more DFW mums here than I thought
Happy Easter everyone, have a good day
Nice to see some long-time lurkers joining in - pop in and introduce yourself and I'm sure everyone will make you very welcome.
