I would like a little cottage, on Dartmoor, maybe with a little babbling brook in the garden, and a little paddock for a couple of goats and a few chickens... and a job which enables me to enjoy my little house and keep life comfortable.
Ideally, a little craft/book/cake shop - but I am a risk-adverse accountant (who can't even remember to save money for car insurance) so maybe just a nice job with a teeny tiny painless commute, and the option to work at home on Fridays
In other business, I have set up my new "annual bills SO" for car expenses starting 1st June. Go me.0 -

Go You:j
I was able to pay my Car Tax today in cash - but it has taken me a year of living on nothing and stretching every pound to breaking point to take me to the tipping point where I can pay all my annual bills - and pay "myself" the monthly amount to save for next years bills.
It feels like I am a Year Ahead of myself - and that instead of having a long hard slog up the summit to a balanced cashflow that I will actually be coasting down the other side soon towards my steading and a life of abundance.
Getting rid of the Big Horse Debt is so close I can smell it I tell you :T.

Flippin heck, that's quick! Well done you! :j :j :j :j
Perhaps there's something in this...Might write my own cheque
(but then I get to thinking 'well, I don't really need anything, I've got everything I want already...' which is kind of why I haven't got round to it in the first place!) I suppose that's a good thing
Very impressed anyway!
(and I've only just started being in a position to put a regular amount towards annual costs - gosh it makes a real difference! Especially since we've spent more on the darn car than it cost us in the last 6 months :rotfl: Perhaps I should be asking the universe for a more reliable car! :rotfl:)0 -
Wayhay Universe, you rock. Really pleased for you MG <passes a nutella laden biccie sandwich to celebrate>I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

I have passed the credit check - :T The house is mine!!!!! Just need to get rid of the old one (going to swallog a mahoosive toad and contact the managing agent). Now if just universe would give me enough money to actually buy this new place and then do it up I would really be deleriously (sp?) over the moon.
This is wonderful, Marru. Hope this house is a happy place bringing you success and causes for celebration.

MG, you seem to have the ear of the Universe; please put a good word in for the rest of us.
Is this dreaming linked to the time of the year, I wonder? I remember this time last year MG mentioning a house with a swimming pool and me saying that I'll be there as well. Oh, well...all in good time.

Marru ? Just thinking - whilst enjoying virtual choc-spread filled biccie in the garden ......

I'm managing to do my lovely 15 minutes meditation every day, but can't do any yoga at the moment as I hurt ligaments in my leg on Friday and am saying ouch and taking painkillers a lot.
