    It will be nice for you to still have a little one at home a good bit of the day when DS1 goes to high school. If they both went off at the same time I think that would be a wrench.

    Yeah - can you imagine me opening the door at 9.15 am and thinking "now what will I do" :D

    5 and a half is a nice age to go to school I think - mind you at the rate he is ratling through his Montessori Materials he will be reading, writing and counting well by that stage.

    Hello Matrixettes! I dunno, go away for a week and you sneak off to another thread :D Back at work today after long break, not entirely pleased about that! Have spent most of the last week outside in the garden or walking, so am feeling very restless stuck in the office. Had a good break though (and booked another holiday while we were off :)) and made the decision that we want to aim at moving somewhere more rural. OH fell in love with the small towns where my relatives live, and I remembered how lovely it was.. we maybe don't want to be tooo near them but somewhere of a similar size with the countryside on the doorstep and a city within reasonable driving distance. So, plans to be made.... once I get through 100 emails etc etc.. blah blah!

    :eek::eek: EEK!:eek::eek:

    I guess today is "officially " the first of the month - so I logged into my on-line banking this morning and peered at it through my fingers.

    ...................... yup!!!! everything has been paid ........... I am officially skint :rotfl::rotfl:

    Well not penniless - but you know what I mean:D

    £283 went off into the ether (although £40 was on paying down my mortgage and £57.50 on the Big Horse Debt) ................... but combined with the fact I also forked over £215 in cold hard cash for my Car Tax this morning I am having a VHSD (very High Spend Day). Having said that, nothing unexpected and nothing that wasn't budgetted for - so thank you Universe:T

    Now I am a woman on a mission this month - last month I asked the Universe for 7K - and it sent me just that, but wrapped up in a long-forgotten pension so I can't spend a blessed penny.

    So this month Universe I would like £2k of spending money please :rotfl:

    Don't worry about it, lucielle: I just asked for £100K.

    Well, if you are going for it, why do it by halves?! :rotfl:

    Doing better than me - I am already £25 OD and it's 3rd May!

    I have months like this though - I do silly things like spend all my "spare" cash on car insurance.... I really must get my head around calculating all of my annual direct debits and saving for them in another bank account :)

    I've got lots of savings accounts with lloyds that I put so much per week in for things like cars, oil, christmas etc. I find it really helps. Some of them I'm not putting enough in but there's only so much money or so little IYKWIM.

    We fell in love with a converted church while fantasy house-hunting the other day, so if the Universe can see its way to supplying us with a handy £300K..... :)
