My food bills are higher now I've started sending hubby to the shops! It used to be £100 a month, he's spent £48 in two days and he only went for eggs, butter, loo roll and coffee.
LOL my husband is like that  He offers to go shopping for me and I just give him a look of horror. I'd have to be dying before letting him loose. He tried bless him (after many years of nagging about him not sticking to the list) but he doesn't buy my usual goods etc and then there is all the extras he buys cos he thinks we need them........Memory_Girl wrote: »He says they don't even say anything until over 5 days have passed so I've not to panic about getting a ticket overnight - LOL

Well there is a car parking in the turning bit in our cul de sac (which shouldn't be there in the first place) and it's tax went out of date in October last year. Still waiting for them to come and collect it and crush it
Planted more carrots, some spinach, 3 strawberry plants and potted on my pepper seedlingsCan't wait to actually start eating some of this stuff LOL
Lunch for DS made, planning on setting the alarm and getting up at 6.30am to do Shred or maybe some Yoga (lurgy depending).
Feeling perkier and motivated, was going into Brum to look at some material for skirts for DD but my mum doesn't want us going in if we don't have to for fearing reprisals after todays news so will try local craft centre, there is supposed to be somewhere that stocks fabric so cross your fingers their prices aren't sky high.
Dinah - Welcome
MG - My dad is very good, generally sticks to what he says but does need a few reminders about doing it. But the poor bloke works 6 some weeks 7 days a week, gets up at really early hours etc so I do try to cut him some slack.
Beencounting - sounds like you're getting the hang of it to meI think acting in a way you want to attract is the way to go so being prepared and organised will help this.

Righto!!!!!!!!!!!!! PANIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just realised it is the 2nd of May - and my Road Tax was due on the 30th. I mean I knew it was due, I have the MOT paperwork and everything here with the money, it's just that with my back I haven't actually been out to pick it up. In my defence I haven't driven the car either.
So tomorrow, by hook or by crook I need to get my bahookie to the Post Office and make myself legal again.
Ooops!!!
MG
Always buy mine on line. Quick, easy, no Post Office queues and they send the disc out really quickly.

Bitsy - have you phoned the dvla? My ex did about a car over the road (was well out of date, not just a late one) and they came the next day...

Shooting umbrellas as in spies (insert shruggy shoulder icon, I do miss him)
Positive vibes for Jack, Claire.
Ha! Quote of the week indeed! It is all true - in the 70s a Bulgarian writer called Georgi Markov was killed in London using a shooting umbrella. High technology this was. True about the tomatoes as well btw.
What is the prize?

This may work but probably better ways are:
1) Meditation
2) Becoming a buddist
3) Long distance running
4) Making sure that you keep doing things that bring you closer to what you really want all the time.
But the again, I have no experience of being patient apart form the patience needed to graple with the theory.

Isn' it interesting - we all beat ourselves up for having no patience, we all beat ourselves up for procrastination.
But we all have lives, kids, Oh's and careers which shows that clearly we have demonstrated that we have had BOTH at some point in the past.:D
I had a wonderful PM this morning - a suggestion that "Life's tough - but you are tougher" should be turned into a book ........... maybe a blog instead :rotfl:
Back is a bt better today - so taking DS2 to hs playgroup and then around the Post Office to get my Car Tax.
BTW Firewalker - I was on holiday in London when the Umbrella incident happened, remember it clearly as a youngster.

Good morning
I have the house to myselfno cartoon or music blearing from the tv bliss
Got loads to do today if my back decides it wants to play, need to get masonery (sp?) paint for the back of the house and more ronseal for the decking as there is only half a tub left plus the table and chairs need to be done.
Need to go to the post office and credit union too.
I've been busy already this morning, second load of washing in the machine, kitchen cleaned, floor swept, living room and dining room tidied, will put hoover over in a minute, not washing the floors until the decking is sorted etc as we keep bringing in a white dust, from some plaster that was in a bag out there.
Plus need to put washing on the line also. Once I have finished my coffee.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
