    You have probably got the stuff for these in.

    100g marg
    100g sugar
    200g SR Flour
    1 tbsp golden syrup

    Melt marg, syrup and sugar together and mix into the flour. Squash tbsp sized balls onto your sheet and bake at 180 ish until golden (15 - 20 mins)

    They come out like Fox's Crinkles - so not just a plain biscuit IYSIM. Posh them up by sandwiching together with butter cream (or Nutella)

    Yum

    I'm so impatient to get everything sorted .............. it's taken me so long to save the money for the timber and stuff that I want it done, and I want it done now :rotfl: (Stamps Foot!!!)

    Sounds like you need to become a marathon runner like Firewalker :D.

    Okay - I don't do patience at all (so any advice here gratefully received) especially when I've done everything possible that I can do and it is out of my hands and the only answer is time. I try deep-breathing, I try being in the moment but I get so frustrated that I cannot fix it, right now, this instant - also stamps foot :rotfl:.

    So come on matrixettes - how do you develop patience?????

    My theory was that the lesson was taught on the same day they did the "how to never procrastinate" one................

    .................. trouble was I ditched school that day :rotfl:

    Ha ha, I'm not patient either, although for some reason, people think I'm quite laid back! Afraid the internal dialogue is very difference to the exterior :rotfl:

    Welcome Dinah - I'm a newbie here too :)

    Righty-ho, coffee break (er...choccie break!) finished, must get back to it. Having a domestic catch-up day today in readiness for the return to work/uni/school chaos which will descend tomorrow morning when 5 of us fight over the one bathroom!

    Hello Dinah :wave: nice to meet you.
    :rotfl::rotfl:RANT ALERT - AVERT YOUR EYES:rotfl::rotfl:

    Does your Dad ever drive you daft?????

    What is it with Men and forward planning in my family? - do they really not think things through, or do they feel that saying they will do something (but never actually doing it) somehow absolves them of all responsibility.

    MG

    I've been pondering this one for some time. Several people I've come into contact with have said they'd do things and then not given it another thought. In fact sometimes they've even denied they'd ever said it (thank goodness for witnesses or I'd have wondered whether it was them or me!!) It's almost as though they get carried away with the feelgood factor of making a promise to help and that's it. A short-lived bask in glory......end of story. A one-way street - idea-mouth-feel good gone!!!!!!! The interesting thing is each time it has happened it has been a man. Never a woman - although my previous equality processing at work makes me feel a bit uncomfortable at saying this.

    The occasion that annoyed me most was after I had retired from my main career I worked part-time as a practice manager in a private clinic. I needed an X-ray and I was set to go to the GP to set this up but my boss insisted I got it done privately and the clinic would pay. Foolishly I took him at his word and gave him the receipt. He never did pay me despite constant reminders - and I hate asking for money I'm owed. It shouldn't be necessary. He had told so many people he was going to pay - the implication was that he was such a generous guy and so good to his staff. Bu**er!!!!!!!!!
    :mad::mad::mad:

    Sorry - that turned into another rant!!!!!!! Sorry, Dinah!:o

    Anyway.......Your Dad's probably not really like that at all - didn't mean to imply that he was! And I know you love him dearly.

    I never got to know my Dad as an adult as he died comparatively young. I was 20 and away at university at the time. I really miss him and feel my children have missed out on a grandfather as he was gone long before they came along.

    I think the others are right. Wait till you're better and then DIY. But do take it gently next time.......

    Back again...I'm beginning to run out of steam now, probably need a longer break and then do another couple of hours later.

    Anyway, I've read a bit more of The Secret today and can see that my statement above, about a chaotic morning won't do me any good as thinking it will just attract more chaos!

    I'm going to have to think positively to attract/manifest a calm and perfectly orderly morning. I think I will help this along by getting DD2 and DS to shower this evening, and keeping the rest of us on a tight bathroom schedule in the morning!

    On a purely practical level, just thinking this through sensibly and putting actions into place now should help the morning move along more smoothly.

    Am I getting the hang of this? Not really sure, as I think I'm meant to believe it will happen so is putting actions in place the right way to go?

    ALDI is not bad - in fact there is stuff there that is outstanding. Being German supermarket of course the cold meats are exceptional. Basics are good. Last summer ALDI had the best tomatoes in town - and I know about tomatoes, I come from the country of tomatoes and shooting umbrellas.

    So go for it!
