Evening all
Really proud of how well I've done today doing only jobs I've been putting off, truth is none were as bad as I thought they'd be.
Bitsy it does sound like anxiety and I learnt from Dr Weeks that often the best way to deal with it is to accept that is how you feel right now, it is just your body reacting, you will be fine, just let it be and it will pass.
DS1 learning one of life's hard lessons at the moment (well learning a few simultaneously tbh) and whilst I can be sympathetic for a while I did predict this and try oh so hard to prevent it but he was having none of it for what did I know. He's just had a tongue lashing though for overstepping the mark with me.
Going to treat my filthy garden feet to a soak now and watch a bit of tv on something on catchup.
DH away all weekend so I need to be organised. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hey ladies, thanks for all your kind suggestions. I've just spent the last 3 hours prepping garden and putting up gazebo for DD's party tomorrow. After stresses of yesterday, terrible weather for day of party, 13 kids plus associated adults to shoe horn into my house it all kinda got on top of me:eek: I have kinda been relying on the weather allowing garden use and it's sort of let me down. Gazebo is up and bouncy castle in situ but sadly patio area is uncovered so guests will be separated somewhat.
Anyway whilst I didn't get chance to sit and do my visualisation my parents rang to see how I was and I explained so they came round early and mucked in. Thank goodness for parents :T Whilst I don't feel 100% still I don't feel like I was drowning earlier. I've had a Pimms tooand after the party clear up I shall be spending the rest of the weekend looking after myself. I've been bottling a lot of emotion from Thursday, been stressed about a letter of complaint I had to write to head teacher today and then pressure of party and trying to accommodate bad weather. Oh my planning my wedding wasn't this stressful.
Sorry I've not acknowledged OO, Thrifty's DS etc - feel in a bit of a blur but will catch up with the thread over the weekend no doubt.
Have a wonderful weekend whatever you're doing.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -

Thanks buffy... You're right, I've done about 18 already although I also have the recommended reading to look up too... I really want this one gone tonight, however late I have to stay up, as I have another two to do that are also running late, and by the time I've done them the next one will be due!0

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Camping trip was temporarily cancelled this afternoon when car broke.
Reinstated when we managed to cadge a lift with friends.
Camping trip turned into an hour and a half's drive up the M1, an hour standing at the SIDE Of the M1 watching smoke billow from the engine, a cuppa in McDonalds, and an hour's drive BACK home in a giant rescue truck :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'm thinking the universe has other plans for us this weekend... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
(at least our car is fixable - their head gasket has gone and car is completely written off  I was a bit scared to get in the rescue truck just in case I jinxed that as well... :rotfl: :rotfl:)0 -
Bleurgh I can't sleep!!
Bad luck Cheery.. I don't really think camping's a great idea this weekend anyway - weather forecast is many! Do something else, indoors x
Oh dear, the cat now knows I am awake, still i'll get a furry cuddle. !!!!!!'s gone to work - after three... 1 2 3 aww shame!
Right back to bedfordshire for another go at sleepies xx0 -
Been away for a while - and so much now to catch up on the thread so apologies for missing anything.
So sorry to hear about Jack, Claire. It is a horrible time but you did the kindest thing. Hugs to you all,
Well done on the stair climbing Cricket but probably best to build up to the marathon stair climb rather than doing it everyday at first and one or two flights better than none at all.
Bitsy, sorry you have been feeling bleugh, hope that the party goes well despite the weather
Cheery, I think the transport situation is trying to tell you this weekend not intended for camping.
OH managed to sweep DS sons expensive phone off the table while clearing up while I was away so off to get a quote for a new screen:eek: so I am going to pop into the market and get loads of fruit and veg although I was excited to come home to see two tomatoes the size of peanuts on our plants and nearly red strawberries :)so hopefully will have some homegrown stuff to munch soon.
Have a good weekend everyone.0 -
Good Morning
Pouring with rain here too, Glad I opted out of doing a festival this weekend. They are miserable to do in the rain.
Ds2 is going to France tonight, He's been up since 7 I think he is excited.
Bitsy glad your feeling a little betterBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Well time to come up with plan B.
DS1 was going to have a golf lesson followed by a trundle round the farmers market then a trip to the library. Well unless Noah turns up to offer a lift I think we will be staying put as it is hammering down.
But on the bright side all my scrubbing and scribbling yesterday has produced a wonderfully tidy house to get up to and an outline for a completely new online product (a la Tim Ferris 4 hour work week). To be done in the future - I'm just saving up projects for after the script is done.
Off to have a cuppa whilst cleaning out the fridge and making the fruit and veg list for today for when it clears up.
