    Me too

Just flying through as I have promised DS1 that he can use the computer this evening - he is still occupied eating his Bean and Lentil Chilli (A huuuuuuge portion) as we have been out at the park from 2.30 - 5.00 an dhe was starving

Why so long? Because DS1 met some boys his age and they played so well together all afternoon that I hadn't the heart to pull him away.

DS2 will talk to anyone (Although he especially loves his Matrix Aunties, Clootie, Fantasia and FW :D), DS1 is a lot more reserved and to be honest gets on better with adults. So this afternoon to see him have the confidence to run around and play with his peers was fabulous. I've even come home with one of the lads home number as they have decided they all want to go swimming together and have said I will arrange it with his Mum.

I know it sounds daft - but this a big breakthrough for DS1, he was really reluctant to make new friends as he was always worrying about them going away (all the crap with his school).

So I am one happy MG tonight

Sounds like DS 1 is blooming all at once MG. Good for him (and you for sitting out in the park, hope that the sun was shining)

Right in the spirit of sharing indian recipes I have put an authentic Indian recipe on my thread (thought it best there so I can find it in future) it is called Raan (marinated lamb with yoghurt) - be warned it takes a long time to marinate but I guess you could adapt it. It is divine and I now get requests for it from friends. I am a veggie but when I ate meat this was my favourite https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2962040

    Hope you enjoy

Thats brilliant cheri - because due to financial and store cupboard constraints most of my Indian recipes will be veggie. We don't eat much meat either so pulses a go-go.

I know the feeling MG. This recipe is really only one that I do for special occasions really like birthdays. I thought that the non veggies might be interested in this one.
I do love pulses though and indian cookery lends itself so well to lentils and the like. I have had a looksee over your fence and put some into my little folder;) will be trying them soon. I could live on indian food so maybe when you do your gap year there I will come visit :)

Definitely need to invest in some lentils over in Gemmzie's camp - we have £27 to last to the end of the month for food - I'm actually considering having the pancake mix we have here as a main dish!

Not daft at all - it is a big break through. He is a wonderful lad but he has been putting too much responsibility on himself and he needs to play, and be with people his age. This is great, MG, wonderful.

We have been going the other way, I am afraid. LB has been distancing himslef from the children he used to play with and I have no idea why.

    Fill them with lentils:rotfl:

Actually pancakes stuffed with all sorts of random stuff then baked in a tomato sauce is a favourite here. Although spinach and cottage cheese might not be every ones favourite - DS's love them.

Time for a store cupboard challenge Gemzie - have a rootle around and find out what you actually have in then we can help you eat till the end of the month on two jelly beans and a packet of custard (our equivalent of the loaves and fishes)

DS1 has just costed out tonight's dinner - 17p per portion! Bargain!!!!

Spinach and cottage cheese e - scrummy! When I was away last week I had a lovely dish which was pancakes filled with spinach and cheese then a kind of fondue topping and baked in the oven. That was preceded by nettle soup (photos on my Austria blog) which I had never had and really liked it. Must find the recipe from somewhere. You dont happen to have one do you MG.

Gemmzie, that challenge sounds like fun.
