    Morning all,

Thrifty, what a cheek! Some folk just need to have their tuppence worth on every subject, no matter how little they know about it!!! You have NOTHING to apologise for.

Well gals Liza was fabulous. I particularly loved this one:

as well as the other old favourites. She looked fab in a long sparkly top and velvet trousers. That ladies is how you dress an apple shape, many younger women could learn a thing or two from her. It was similar to the one she had on in SATC 2 here

Great fun and we went out for a bit of gay disco dancing after it. Feel rough this morning though as I broke the diet so I could have a few scoops. Back on it today. Day off today so seeing a friend and class at the gym later X

you didn't break the diet Souk, just expanded it a bit! :D

Thrifty - how about a holiday at home?? Spend a day or so getting your house all surface tidy and clean, taking care of (vry small!) little things that will niggle you, then take a week off. Do something you wouldn't normally do every day - a walk round a different park? A visit to a little nature reserve, or a museum, or the library (sorry, I have absolutely NO idea what type of place you live in so these suggestions may be useless!). Have an ice cream, or get a book from the library and sit in a cafe for a couple of hours. Have a 'cafe at home' - set the table, put on a table cloth, and make scones and have tea in a teapot. Sit with your feet in a bowl of water in the garden (in weather like yesterday's, not today!) Er, a nice long hot bath? Sit and watch a film together and make popcorn?

Get all your food in advance (even make some in advance!), don't schedule in any dentist appointments, hair cuts, functional things, don't answer thephone, pretend you're in someone else's house, perhaps visit a friend or two for afternoon tea....

Must be a few local adventures to be had near you that don't cost anything! Maybe some other matrix ladies will know? xx

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies!

Well, I have woken up as a right grumpypotamus today for no real reason at all apart from the fact that I'm tired and a bit cold and grey. Need to have a little word with myself methinks!

On the positive side, I just found out that my very overdue friend has gone into labour and I have actually been organised for once and knitted a little present for the baby and for her little girl!:)

I have soooo much work to do at the moment but my batteries are running pretty low so I'm thinking of giving myself the morning off to play with some wool and then see how I feel after lunch. I have an idea for a little business that's been rumbling in my head for a while but am supposed to be concentrating on PhD work not crafty things at the mo!:D

Hugs and positive vibes to all that need them!

P.S. Hello robsmum - nice to meet a fellow ME battler! Obviously not nice at all that you've got it too but you know what I mean x

OOps!!! Wonder what Thrifty will make of that one TMIF?? Offer still stands though :D

Tell you what - when "he arrives" we should tell him the weddings happening at Dundas - and BTW the invite list has got 80 Matrix Aunties from my side of the family (that should sort out whether he is serious :rotfl:)

Had DS2 out for a haircut - he even braved the clippers. Now I can clearly see his freckles and smile again.

Off to make some lunchtime nibbles for the boys - still feeling bleurgh so may just have something soupy.
