Morning Matrix.
Having a bit of a wobble re diet and exercise at the moment. Feel like I am the only person in my house doing anything constructive about it, when I am not the only person who needs to do something about it. And I don't mean my slightly corpulent puddycats.Feel like I have too little energy to carry on at the moment. I am learning a new skill, keeping house, doing all the laundry and ironing, doing all the yard work, cooking and then there is exercise on top. I feel like I am being spread a little thin. Although hubby does attempt to assist in keeping house and body and soul together, a big problem is that if I am not doing anything in the house then Hubby won't either. It is so incredibly annoying. It's like only he is allowed to have time to himself. I have to run about with a huge long list of what to do and only when it is finished am I allowed to sit down and take a breath.
Greenbee, I know that fat holds estrogen, and as you break down the fat, then there is a surge of estrogen in the bloodstream which can mimic PMT. Oh, delightful!! It appears this is what is happening because nothing has... erm... happened yet.
Hmmm, think i need to have chat with hubby over dinenr tonight."A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Crickett - sounds like you need to do what FW did re. Sharing responsibility at home. As for the symptoms, try to see them in a positive light... Not PMT but proof of the fact that you're doing so well with your health and fitness, so celebrate the grumpiness! Rmmber, those feelings can be offset with the endorphins from exercise, so give yourself some 'me time' and go for a swim. Consider going to see your GP after you have lost the first stone to discuss progress... If you've shown what you can do on your own they can start planning for when you have succeeded.
I'm still suffering from a lack of exercise, but feeling much better. Travelling next week, so need to be disciplined about food. Results should be in today or next week, so then I'll know what the next steps are and be able to start planning. Anyway, over the next three days I have to eat or freeze all the perishables, and plant my new plants so they survive my absence. and today I have to do some catching up on work0 -
Morning all,
Crickett you definetely need to share responsibility for housework with your Mr. It's not fair that you have to do it all yourself. Tell him you're exhausted and need some time out and then...go and take some time out and go for a walk/swim etc. Ultimately his weight loss is HIS problem lovely but yours is YOURS. Obviously it would be much easier if he was on board but if he's not then you still have to keep your eyes on the goal, and on what you want long term.
Fantasis you know I meant that about the cigarettes in a positive way, right?!
I need to get all organised this morning for heading up to the hotel later. We're going to meet up and have dinner tonight and then the ceremony is tomorrow. Weather is rotten but I dont care, I have a brolly that will tone with my outfit for the pics!!!
Enjoy your weekends all and look forward to catching up on Sunday (with a hangover, no doubt) X'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
I'm starting to get MAJORLY hacked off, having had 3 messages eaten!
Yesterday was spent having a MAJOR delutter, and today will probably be spend doing the same thing. We've got through a huge amount, although there is still some way to go.
I finished my college course on Wednesday night, so that's nice.0 -

OMG! One of my colleagues at the loony bin...sorry, work!... has been calculating when we can all retire. I have 29 years left. That is a long old time to go. Makes it very clear that I need to find something I really enjoy to do for that time.
In the shorter term, i am going to play my music all day and ignore everyone else!!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Morning you lovely peeps
Those with husbands doing their head in you have my sympathies. H has a cold. Not just any cold but the very worst one what requires him to keep going on about it. But of course he couldn't possibly take something to relieve his symptoms now could he <rollseyes> Sure he might not like taking pills etc but if that's the way you're gonna go then just shut up going on about it. He's off on a school trip with DS and his other 59 class mates today <insert evil grin> so I am sure he'll have got over himself by the end of the day :rotfl:
I am such a sweet wife, honestIt's our 7th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday and being the lovely wife that I am have booked us tickets to a concert in December. Can anyone explain what exactly a £4.50 transaction fee (PER TICKET so £9 in total) is for? this isn't a booking fee......noooooooo that's another separate charge of £2.00. So in order to book £80 worth of tickets I have to hand over a further £11. this should be made ILLEGAL!!!!
Sorry for the rant, just bugs me having to pay money for old rope grrrr
Plans today will be mostly looking after my mum and dads pets as they are at a family wedding today.
Didn't have chance in the end to do any exercise yesterday. H's scooter broke down on the way home from work and I ended up putting kids to bed etc so must make more of an effort this afternoon/evening. Planning on a rather tasty tea of cod (or in my case poor mans cod, whitefish LOL) and chorizo parcels.
Crickett - 29 years!!! Least it's one less than 30Plug in and ignore away

Retirement: I have just looked. Wish I didn't. It's 34.75 years until I can - I will be 68!
I don't think so....! Must earn more money for pension income!0 -
The retirement age thing is scary - I suppose we have to know for planning but I don't really want to know that I have to work for longer than I've so far been alive!
Stressing slightly today as I have to do a mini-presentation in about an hour, plus I haven't been paid by second job when I should have been. Grr! But hey, it's FridayDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
