Greenbee, so pleased for you. Been there and got the tshirt. I also used to forget how much "work" had been done because it wasnt in sight but I also got the cramping etc. Rest, be kind to yourself. The exercise will be there waiting when you are fully fit. Sounds like your body is telling you to rest if you were exhausted after your walk.
Crickett - great news and I think that lightbulb might start shining brightly now.
Souk - not sure if I missed any news from you but hope that the phonecall went well.
Claire, I think that your bags are great and with all of those patterns you will probably make a fortune
MG - Erm - whats happening on Saturday then?
Clooties Mum, good for you and yes you should go for it. Why would they laugh at you? I went for a job two grades above and thought what the heck...... look at me now!
    Marru, good luck for tomorrow.
Sunflower Fantastic news, hope it leads to your dream job
Tricia, yet another fantastic summing up. I am glad that we have you to do that sometimes.
Bitsy,,,,,, cant remember what I was going to say now. Erm (huggssssss)) anyway even if that wasnt what I meant to say.

Sorry if I missed anybody but has keeps being said. You lot cant half talk. (should this be the name of the next thread I wonder)

    Hi all,

Had a lovely bath tonight and cleaned my grill pan and hob. Happy as Larry (I'm odd, i know). Watching the Apprentice with my HM bread tonight and feeling clean, fresh and energised thanks to you lovely lot.

Need to look at Linkedin soon too but in the meantime Clootiesmum GO FOR IT! The other company might well laugh at my application as the turnover there is over 1 million more than my current job...but on the other hand they might love it and I get more cash to enjoy life with. Thats worth a go in my book CM. Come on lady YES I CAN. And well done on the hair, you're sooo worth it.

Souk - aim high. What do you have to lose?

I'm restless and can't concentrate. Maybe I should do some work... I've done the washing up, so maybe I should follow Souk's example and have a bath.

Lots of lovely positive energy here today, which has really helped me to feel positive rather than dwelling on the negatives. There is lots I can do for myself... Starting with eating more soya and veg. And hopefully the exercise will be back on track soon followed by weight loss (apparently it all helps... Funny how healthy eating, exercise and sensible weight seem to help most medical conditions....)

I realise I'm going to need time to get my head round all of this, just s it's taken time to accept that my body needs time to recover. The consultant told me this morning that I was remarkably pragmatic about it... Well, I'm not sure how it would have helped if I hadn't been, as he was telling me how he could help me get better, and it wasn't as bad as it could have been. But apparently some people get stressed about not being able to try to conceive for 6 months... He was very clear that it wasn't an option to do that first though... And really, there is no point in getting pregnant if it means you increase the risk of not being around for long afterwards, is there? And it gives me 6 months to get fit, deal with some frogs, and work out whether I do want to get pregnant and if so what options I have.

Need to stop thinking and get some rest :D

    Evening ladies.

Clootiesmum, please send me the PM if you want to ... but Forensic Accounting is purely an interest at the moment and not my profession yet!

Oh, and my portfolio is in the post. It will arrive in London before 1pm on Friday. All positive marking vibes gratefully received. :D

    Good Luck tomorrow Marru.

    Lots of love

Thanks TMIF & Claire but....what if I get it, can I do it, will they laugh at my application, what if...what if

    Paranoia Clootie here :o

Sod it - if they're laughing at me they're leaving someone else alone & if I get it - well I'm good at steep learning curves & the money will be nice

So tomorrow I might not catch up as I have an app to fill out :j:j:j

    1) There's too much going on at the minute for me to be able to keep up with, and this makes me feel very selfish, so all the very best for you all getting what you are wishing for.

2)Clootie, if I have learnt one thing this last two weeks in appplying for jobs it is that it's not what you've got, it's how you portray it.

Most people have a natural inclination to be modest about their qualifications and achievement, but this is counter-productive. In fact, you need to blow your trumpet as hard as possible, particularly in the current economic climate.

Chances are that you have perfectly wonderful qualifications - better than many more - but that due to natural modesty and the rather British trait of playing down your achievements, you are not doing yourself justice. STOP THE NEGATIVE TALK RIGHT NOW: you ARE worth it!

Tip: unless it says differently, fill out the application form in some exotic colour. Green perhaps. But make sure that it's nice quality and will write fluently. Trust me: this will make your application stand out and work its way to the top of the pile above many of the other identikit applications. ;) (Please don't doubt this - I've tried it several times and it has worked a treat! ;) )

Up early cos there is a DS2 will a "sore tummy" - that ended up being a huge case of "Ahem"!!! - wind:rotfl:

Clootie - you know you need to get the application in don't you? - any woman who would ask the bossy boss to be her mentor has to move up the rungs. Well I know it wasn't totally deliberate, but he didn't run away laughing did he????

Claire - is the pattern a downloadable one?? If it is how's about flinging it over here and I can write the instructions in something you understand - thats my speciality, taking stuff that sounds difficult and making it sound easy.

Off with the boys to St A today - but I have so much to plough through that I think I am going to treat myself to a sit down coffee somewhere nice to work................... let me explain.

Since that day of "71p and three nappies" I went onto "emergency budget" - one of the things that went was my "very occasional" nice coffee. I started packing a flask and a cookie for days when I was out waiting or the boys - and whilst that is nice, and very MSE it wasn't much of a treat.

Last week my visitor treated me to an Iced Coffee - and it was fabulous!!!!! We sat for ages and got loads of work done and I felt really spoiled, so today I am going to count a nice coffee as "rent" on a table so that I can plough through some work.

I know its a "head thing" - but I have decided to treat myself to a brand new life for my birthday and accepting that sometimes you are allowed to have a treat is part of that.

Wasn't the first Harry Potter written in a coffee shop? you never know where an iced coffee might lead:)

Well it seems my wasps were honey bees, same shape duller colour apparently.

Loving that quilted bag. May be something to do in the future but I am going to have a go at some roman blinds first. Does anyone have any tips?

Sending positive vibes for Marru today Sure you will do well.

Food wise not doing too bad. Cereal sald and chicken stir fry yesterday, though I did have some stewed rhubarb and a touch of icecream, yum yum.

    Have a good day everyone.
