    lucielle & MG...

    TELL US

    and breathe........

Sorry luv - been out bug hunting with DS2:D

Lucielle has suggested that as I will have two letting rooms available that I look at offering people who want to come and do a course a D B&B and course deal IYSWIM. I could have up to three people at a time visiting for a day to come and do a course here at MG Manor.

Of course now I'm thinking that it need not be only the Mind Mapping, Memory and Study Skills, it could also be the pattern cutting and other lovely things to learn to do.

I get the best of both worlds - being here with the boys and spending time teaching people.

My Mum thinks its an idea wrth persuing - and she is keen to have the boys on days that I will have guests.

I'd never thought of that before - but now that Lucielle pointed out the obvious .................. well I feel a little silly not spotting it myself. :o

Well a very productive morning for me. Pat on the back. Had an hours exercise first thing - Ran with the hound which made me feel great. Then instead of slouching round for the rest of the morning I got my backside into gear - filled the car with LPG, went and bought myself a couple of maxi dresses for summer, ordered a carpet for the bedroom that used to belong to DS3 (to be fitted tomorrow !!!), then lastly delivered a double duvet to DS1`s house.:j

I feel as though I have actually achieved something this morning . Roll on this afternoon!!!:D

Hello from me and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Cheery :j Ooh what a cluster of birthdays :D

Only one page to go and then I am upto date with you.

Just to tell that I am soooo excited. I am going to see a house today just after four. Please please let it be for me and everything to go smoothly. So no lunch break for me. Going to go and warm up some soup and gobble it up while working. Three hours and a bit to go and counting...

Lucielle way to go, what a fantastic idea.
MG you must be so excited.
Have to add that MG is a fabulous host, welcoming, (totally puts you at ease ) what you get on the page is what you get in person. She's lovely. An opportunity not to be missed, seriously so.
As soon as I get this job situation sorted out and have regular finances again, will be looking into this myself but as a day student.
It just hit me too, I could easily make use of your skills MG but as a day student kind of thing. If thats acceptable.

    Happy Birthday Doctor Daff xx

Only if you hang on for the dinner and wine and gossip bit as well:D OH will have to act as Chauffeur that day:rotfl:

BTW had a brainwave about carpets for the two upstairs bedrooms - and I popped over to our local charity furniture place. They rarely have carpets in - because they take too much space to store. But I've asked my lovely lady over there if she can find two neutralish carpets and given the dimensions of the rooms. She is going to keep an eye open and give me a call when she finds some in decent enough condition.

I asked her the approx price - about £20 for the pair:j So I hope she can find us some.

This ia all beginning to look very doable:T

Mini rant ladies - OH announced this morning that he is off to his parents at the weekend. I got  and then I :wall: Now I am calmer.

The thing is I now have 4 days alone, no transport so I cant go out anywhere as the bus isnt running to the village either. So.......... what to do with myself? I am thinking that I could get into some serious trouble being left home alone (well with Moo and Cokes) so ideas on a postcard please.

  • MG - fabulous idea... and yes, i would DEFINITELY be interested in a pattern cutting session! I wouldn't mind not sleeping over with you even... I do flea pit hotels quite well, if you have any locally to you! Though, i might need to split the driving with someone coming from my neck of the woods... because it is a bit far to do in just one day... if you see what I mean! What a fabulous idea lucielle!! :D

Cheri, here is what i would do if I had 4 days without hubby - before he goes, lay in all supplies necessary. A DVD of my choice for one evening; along with hooch of choice to enjoy with it. I would set myself a pampering evening and make myself feel fabulous; I would spend one day in the garden and the other day would be spent curled up with a book. You could take a local walk with the beasties. Erm.... any good? :D

    Fab idea Lucile and MG,

Well back from town, had a cuppa with My mate, Got some doggy food,

Now I'm home for the rest of the day, I've put a load of washing out as it is quite windy here so should dry in no time :)

I have just had a lovely box of beads delivered too :) Dilemma, should they be made up into jewellery?? or sold as is??? Not sure as I have a huge lot of jewellery ready made up and really no room for any more until some sells :)

Looks like Lucielle' idea might have have some legs then. Especially when I think about it logically and I am on the main north-south train route down the eastcoast. You can get a bus from Glasgow and points Westward, and Edinburgh Airport is about 45 minutes away................... so I am maybe not so isolated as I would like to think.

Just come in from digging the garden - for a glass of water and a painkiller (everything is aching and having one of those " have I bitten off more than I can chew moments)

............... but I was having a thought about Claires business - in fact a collaboration for everyone who makes beautiful things.

............... so come to think of it I will pop over to the other side:)
