Still trying to catch up.
Anyway here my 15 minutes so far:
Sun 24/4 - Sat in the sun by horse shoe falls doing sudoku while DD was having a paddle
Mon 25/4 - Sat in the sun by canal doing cross stitch
Tue 26/4 - 20 minute of Zumba - boy I am so unfit it is not real it finished me off, better settle for gentle stitching for the rest of the evening.
Also note to self - do not in any circumstances check personal emails in the evening at home after work  as there is nothing one can do about them at that point except to get upset"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Evening all,
It's been such a long time since I have posted on this thread but, just like a lot of people on here, I have kept up with the downs and the up, up, ups over the past few months.
Great to see the positiveness increasing, it's quite contageous, although I think the recent spell of tremendous weather may have something to do with it too! I have even been back on the Matrix website but have no idea where to start to catch up and get back into my 15 minutes to do something positive (for someone else apart from myself).
My diary is slowing down a bit and I know I have to get cracking again. I seem to just chunter on and before I realise it my post is absolutely huge!! Well, I do have a fair bit to talk about I suppose.
Right! Off to get the remainder of some clutter on ebay and then work out how to make a dress! Yes, my mam's sewing machine is gathering dust in the corner of my workroom/office and IT NEEDS TO BE USED!
So it's great to be back and I am loving the new fresh thread with the new fresh inspirations!

Well so much for my good intentions of joining in the thread. No sooner had I written my first post than DS4 has an accident and cuts his arm very badly so have spent loads of the Easter weekend at the hospital and taking care of his and partners baby. Anyway the good news is that his arm will be OK after loads of stitching up and I am knackered after looking after a baby again. How did I used to manage to look after 4 small boys? God knows. I think I must have had loads of energy due to being a lot younger. Now I`m in my 40`s its a lot harder.
Anyway I am hoping tomorrow is a new day. I am off work so hope to get a few jobs done. Need to do a spot of gardening (weather permitting) and maybe a bit of household shopping. The main thing I want to do is to go for a long run with Sidney. We are both suffering from withdrawl symptoms as we havent had a run for 3 days. We usually go every morning without fail !!
Apart from sons accident we had a great long weekend. Loads of car boot bargains which I love. Anyway enough of my ramblings for today.0 -
Hey all, no frogs today and actually need to find that book as I missed the start of all that when I was away but had a good date with a silver fox and a short day at work so all good. All tidied up tonight as I have a very long day with work tomorrow. Am travelling to the frozen north to recruit and wont be back til late then Thursday is my day off so didn't want to come back to a mess.
Had a lovley tea of venison sausages with carrot and swede mash followed by a bit of Easter Egg.
Need to look at money on my own diary then bed X'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -

Productive day at work, as in learning, so its all good. Argh spread sheets, i have no clue so this is a work in progress (eating frogs springs to mind). But I did what was expected. There is an awful academic person there with degrees sweating out of her armpits, but very little experience either with people or the work place. Methinks she is going to be my new best friend, every place i work always gives me people to 'take under my wing' sort of thing.
Perhaps she isnt awful, its just lack of communication skills, (sent me an email when she was 2 desks away lol. But hey, she only started today and I started unofficially Saturday, and hints were dropped then lol0 -
Another MIA calling in for a quick update. Since January I've been dealing with challenges which I can't go into, even on the other side. However, what I can share is that I'm downsizing. I love where I am, it's so peaceful and spacious but now I am looking to the future and a new phase in life. So I've been de-cluttering, lots of letting go, some of it has been hard, but overall it's liberating. What I'm now living with is the essence of what matters to me, and there is much less visual and metaphorical noise in my life.
I finally disposed of items I inherited from my mother, undealt with for 13 years. All done and dusted. I let go of old hobbies and old ideas and interests. I had to be honest with myself about what fits with who I am now, and what no longer fits, no matter how passionate I was about it in the past. And say goodbye, thank you for the jourmey and let go. We don't stay static, we must go with the flow and embrace change positively, allow new ways of being and space for new growth and new adventures.
I would like to stay in the same area, just with a smaller house and garden. Enough room for a few pots on a patio would be fine. I may need to rent for a while till the right home becomes available.
Sorry not to be a regular contributor but I'm also working and studying whilst all this has been going on... and I have needed much down time to deal with the other issues. Luckily I've been able to access good support which will be ongoing for as long as I need it. I know how fortunate I am to have that.
I'll be following the thread and cheering you all on from the sidelines.
All the best,
