Thank you ladies for your hugs and vibes. Daisy has a broken jaw but thankfully no damage to her chest or lungs. Shes currently holding her own so am hoping the speed they got her to the vets is in her favour.
Food so far today......2 small slices of HM bread toasted. lunch 2 poached eggs and one slice of toast. Then 1 scone with jam and whipped cream......the latter I confess I ate as a "cheer-me-up-feeling-bored" snack
kittikins - hugs for you xx
crickett - sorry this sounds twee but am really proud how you have kept at this despite it being a labour of loveWell done you, there is light at the end of the tunnel
cheery - stop looking for the item and it will turn up.....I lose things all the time and it drives me mental.
Sorry if I've missed something I have a very tired little DD who's been on a trip to the farm clambering all over me for a cuddleI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Well done Crickett! :T And MG, gosh, that is some speedy work girl! :T :T
Thanks for all the drill-finding ideas :rotfl: Marru - I loved yours - strangely enough, I have it in my head that we didn't even bring it home (although Mr Daffs believes otherwise, as do the people we lent it off...) - maybe I can't find it cos I can't get over it in my head!?
OliveOyl, I often do what you suggested :rotfl: Same as going back to the place I thought of something to remember what I was looking for:rotfl:
MG, over the weekend I will indeed go into every room and look for something else :rotfl:
Frustrating afternoon arguing with the laptop here :rotfl: Very much need to get on with some darn work!0 -

She's at the vets under sedation with a very poorly face and head. She's only 12 months old and not a clue how to cross the road safe
poor girl that hit her was terribly upset and has sent my mum flowers bless her. So pleaselots of vibes that she will be fine and dandy.
Will check in later xx
Awww cross posted with you earlier on - sorry to have missed seeing this. Glad to hear from your later post that Daisy is currently fighting - I'm certainly sending positive vibes that things continue that way. Re the food: The scone and cream is a one off - sometimes we do need "something" to pick us up, particularly after a shock like hearing about Daisy. Was it specifically something sweet you felt you needed? Or was the scone just there and waiting to cause trouble? They do that I find, cakes - lurk about until they get you at a wobbly moment! Maybe work on having something else a bit healthier in that you can fall back on at those sort of moments if you feel that's likely to be a problem?
Crickett You're flying through it now! Your lunch also sounds delicious - I'm quite jealous! You're doing far better than me on the water front too - I'll go and get a glass now.
So, had my walk - not a massively long walk - just about 2-3 miles really, but lots of birds to watch on the way round and I took the camera as well so have some Kingfisher photos! Couldn't work out what to have for lunch until I remembered I had an egg left in the box, so stuck that on to boil while I raised the fridge - ended up with a salad of little gem lettuce and a few mixed leaves with tomato and mushrooms fried off in just the tiniest bit of olive oil along with the hard boiled egg. Dressed it with my olive oil and lemon juice dressing. It was extremely tasty! Followed it up with a couple of clementines, and am now slightly surprised to realise I am full.

Ladies of the Matrix. I would like to declare a flipping great celebration.
I have completely and utterly finished the first draft. Oh yes. Not just the 6 sections, but all of the workplace logs and they have also been run off ready for the red pen and cross referencing and compliation and sign off. But I never thought I would get this far, this quickly! Thank you one and all. Your bahookie kicking has worked a treat!!
So, tonight, I am going celebrate. Mexican food at home with some wine I think is in order!!
Right, I am out all day Saturday and Sunday and I have Monday off work, so I might not be back for two or three days. Have a wonderful weekend one and all!!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Boudoir report :rotfl:
I pair of wine coloured "Jeff Banks" silk effect curtains in CS for £4.99 - 82" long so oodles left to make matching cushion covers. I think I would like to find some gold fabric to make some cushion covers too - but may wait to see them in situ.
Mum has just called to tell me that Argos have got half price on Curtain rails - so going to look and see if theres anything suitably glamourous.
Claire - the double duvet set is washed and ironed (it was a bit Charity Shop smelly IYSWIM and I didn't want to give you any other work so threw it in with my coloureds. So PM me your addy on the other side and it is on the way.
.................... and totally NOT needed, but on my wish list forever. A pair of mint green crocs to wear in and out to the garden - £2.00 :T
Time to do a bit of a clear up - and maybe repot some tomatoes later. Got some petunias and geraniums off a local gardener so we will have some flowers too - so no just a Victory Garden - a pretty Victory Garden

Woo blithering hoo Crickett! :T :T Well done you! :T :T
MG, a fab shopping trip!
My afternoon of work is being splotched all over the place, new things being added to the list thick and fast, and all clamouring to be done before the big other thing that is important but is getting pushed out of the way, pah! A bit of time management and prioritising needed here I think!0 -

Can you get your OH to act with you what happened when you came home with the drill. Who had it, where did this person go first etc... You might just find out that you are right and you really didn't have it with you."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

I'm on holiday, I'm on holiday, I'm on holiday - 2 weeks off woohoo
So have left all school stuff at school for the weekend - this weekend is MINE ALL MINE (and dh's and the kids obviously) but mainly MINE :rotfl:
Grand plan for this evening is:
-Drop paint off at church
-Drop £ for Xmas vouchers at friends & arrange lunch date for next week (drink a brew and eat a biccy too while visiting)
-Come home and throw littlies in bed
-Spend a few 15mins pottering doing our room - we stashed a lot of stuff last night before babysitter came round so I have no idea where most of my clothes have ended up
- I have a date with a glass of wine and judge john deed (yumm)
Oooh did did some good mse last night - offered paint to church group for an activity week they're doing so their leader came round with 6 baguettes and a tonne of bacon (not literally) that the shop where he delivers butties for did not need. Baby sitter was in when he called so she asked to be paid in bread and bacon instead of £! So had blt butties all round for lunch and rest has gone in freezer.
Even more good news is my olds phoned to ask about how big our table is - we have the same as them and theirs is in storage after a flood - they want a smaller table as there are only 2 of them and they said we can probably have theirs and the chairs as ours have been severely 'toddlered'.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
Emergency fund £1000/£1000
Savings for big things £90170 -

Nah I'd already heard about the cat so can't even blame it on herNope it was just sitting there, waiting to cause trouble. Bit like the very small handful of chips I had when the kids ate
Again I hate wasting them (I know it's still a waste if I eat them.....:o) and they smelt really good. Honestly sometimes I act like a drug addict when I am around food and have to fight the compulsion to eat it
I am so on the road to nowhere unless I wire my mouth shut :rotfl:
Crickett - would like to give you a massive HIGH FIVE for the work you've achieved :T Enjoy your mexican tonight <drools> and enjoy your long weekend
MG - Your boudoir sounds lovely, never anything good in my local CS......mind you think it's because my lovely friend gets there first. she's bought a pair of genuine LK Bennett wedge sandals (which she gave to me), a designer handbag, Ugg boots etc. She's the queen of the CS by me :rotfl:
