    Morning All,
Day off today and am going to make a start on sorting my house/budget and everything out. Got all the plans in place now and have broken it down into minute baby steps and corressponding squares:j
Need some help please - I am organizing a 50th birthday party for BIL - the theme is nautical. Trying to find cheap RED, WHITE and BLUE balloons, paper table cloths etc and nautical type decorations. Have spent 2 hours so far on Google and not doing very well. Does anyone know of any chain type shops where I could find this sort of thing please?

MG: Well done on book order:j

Matalan have a big party range, including balloons - if you have one near you?

When's the party? If you have a few days there will be something on ebay?

Can anyone tell me how I can join the other side and send me a link when they get a minute please, I am interested to see what you're all selling and what you're not allowed to say on here!

I did quite well with my few 15 minute bursts yesterday but I'm struggling with feelings of being a bit overwhelmed with the amount I have to do. I am a bit of a list addict and like to feel in control, so have list upon list of things I need to do, try or finish. Feeling a bit like I don't know where to start, and desperately want to get more of the house finished and make it feel like more of a home but don't know where I am going to find the time. Sorry for the whinge, if anyone has any suggestions as to how to organise myself so it doesn't feel so overwhelmed I would really appreciate it.

I hope you have good days everyone.

Jenid, you need to send a pm to MrF (no spaces).

Firewalker is great for trying new ideas to get things done. If you search for some of her previous posts - frog eating and weekly / daily lists are two that spring to mind.

Robsmum - Do you have access to shops that may have stuff left over from royal wedding celebrations? OK bunting with W&C may not be appropriate but you might get plain serviettes. Depending on the amount of bunting and it's durability, you could make with either serviettes or craft paper and masking tape ...

Both nautical or pirate are themes for kids parties so you may find DIY craft projects that fit the bill ... e.g. make your own pirate hat, plus suitable party games???

Robsmum - here are a few things I found on ebay, obviously all navy coloured but it's a start.

If we're going for uber cheap I wondered about making your own bunting in nautucal colours, now fabric I assume won't be possible but how about some paper bunting? Here is a PDF file of gingham from a scrapbook website (it's free of course :money:) so if it's not toooo feminine you could print out blue and red ones, but into triangle and affix to ribbon or something?

Will keep looking and post anything I can find :)

Another free website with plain and patterned paper you can print.

Thank you ladies - so far have found bunting, balloons, got some nautical bits coming from a Sea Scout connection, now trying to find blue disposable table cloths?

Must do something on my house for a bit - be back soon.
