  • Music is good Craftyscholar - my kids hate me decorating because Abba or Steps is always on the go.

Two hours of painting done this morning, that's one coat on one wall - am aiming to do a second wall before lunch and that will be it for today. As MG says, baby steps.

Way-to-go on the freedom fund MG :j:j:j. Have taken a leaf out of your book, my new targets are in 1000s, 100s and poonds. Have also calculated my "enough" and I need to find an extra 6k per year so that's £500pcm or £16.44 per day. Now I need 10 things to do each day that earn £1.64 - surely that's doable.

Right back to the coal face as OO says.

Making full use of baby steps in work today as have very little motivation :(, but at least I'll get some things completed if I keep plugging away through the day.

So pleased to hear things are looking up for you Crickett with your OH :).

You sound so happy and motivated MG, I want some of whatever you're on :D.

Haven't got any big plans today, although will be out this evening working on my little business.

It'll be time for lunch soon, which is good as I'm having a hungry day!

I'm feeling a very shabby step-mum clearing DS1's room :( Especially as DD has her eye on the newly emptied wardrobes.

But I've found some interesting things including
    1) a clown outfit
    2) an oar (single)
    3) Christmas pressies unused, but dating back to 2001......and their letters to Santa after I'd threatened that nothing was coming their way.....:rotfl:
  • Hi everyone

Just a wee reminder the reason so many people come to MSE is because they know they're not going to be advertised to so we really need to ask everyone not to do it, however small or innocent they feel their posts are.

    Thanks, have a great day!

    Andrea :)

Would the letters make a good start for a childrens' book?

    I wish!
No, they were written by a couple of disgruntled teenagers and are full of sarcasm - but they made me laugh :D

Have you seen this blog Bitsy - loads to choose from: http://www.diybaglover.blogspot.com/

The corners of a bag with sides are difficult, so make sure you bin them, and then sew very slowly :)

I looked out for an over locker for you, but I can't see anything for less than £179. Good luck with ebay. What do you want to use it for?

Ooooh lovely site, thanks for sharing :D
I fancied an overlocker because I CBA with hemming :o I made do at the moment with zig zag stitch but I suppose I was just wanted another gadget (which I don't have room to store :o)

If anyone is looking for a timer for their 15 minutes I got mine, a cute egg shaped one, from Poundland, for a £!:rotfl:

I was going to fork out some more money on a timer when I realised I had a timer on my iPod Touch......thereby saving myself some money :money:

crickett - Glad things are going well for you and your H :D

OO - lovin' the Santa letters you found :T

Just stopping to have lunch before cracking on with those frogs again. Honest :rotfl:

Erm, we've all been a bit hormonal and grumpy.

We moaned about men and Cheery told us off.

.... and MG has been doing miracles with her money again :)
