Hey MG, I am so pleased that you have made a decision. Amazing what time in the garden with the boys can do. Truth be told, I think that it exactly the right decision for you. As you say you are already overpaying and “He that can have Patience, can have what he will”
Benjamin Franklin quotes It is always the tortoise that wins the race in the story no matter how often you read it.
Buffy, this would seem to mean more to you to keep going than stopping. I like that way of looking at it. Stopping is a positive decision. I also picked up on something else from your quote that made my heart sing I like being a classroom teacher, unfashionable in some parts with the expectation of instant promotion. . I think that teaching is a calling for you by the sounds of it. Not enough teachers go into teaching nowadays because they are called to it. I bet you are a fantastic teacher.
Also you say that all you do is work. Perhaps that is an issue too, is the course too much like work? Maybe you should MAKE time for yourself to do something that is different from work and also gives you a break from your Mum (sorry if I am wrong but I read between the lines sometimes that this is an area that encroaches on your personal happiness too) that way you may be re energised to do the course work with a different approach. I hope that talking about it here helps. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Both my frogs have been eaten (along with some Cadbury's Mini Eggs) but compared to some of you they're more like frog spawn but never mind. So got rid of one frog and created another one to eat....mammoth ebay session to tackle next but want to work it so that listing ends on a Sunday so might be later in the week I suspect.

Buffy - whatever you decide will have pros and cons. Nothing is ever black and white. Do what your heart tells you and then let it rest. No regrets.
MG - sounds like you have made the right decision for you. You will still get there in good time and be more comfortable and relaxed in the meantime.
Today was hubs' birthday and we have had a succession of visitors. Had a wander by the river this evening. It hurt my back but fed my soul and my heart sang. It was more like 30 minutes than the 15 suggested but hey ho - that's twice as much singing!!!
Put the leftover chicken thighs (uncooked) in the sc with stock, white wine and a can of chicken soup. Made a lovely supper!! Now just want to crash but we have more friends arriving for a glass of plonk so shall have to be sociable for a while yet.

Hey all, soooo positive here. MG I made a decision long ago not to get too fussed about banks. They'll get what the need but it will be at no detriment to my life!
We had a good day out today. Well actually my two married friends bickered a lot and I realised that I dont want to spend time in my friends hubbys company if I can avoid it. His is rude and childish and my friend does everything for him, but he doesn't appreciate it. I dont see him much anyway but dont care to again for a while. When we left them my other friend and I were so narked that we went for a cheeky pint in the sun! Got some groceries in tho and time spent with two of the friends is always lovely. Lunch was at a country pub which always makes me a bit edgy as I dont like leaving the toon which they all think is hilarious.
Buffy I'm with cherisong re you needing time to have fun in your life, whatever you do about your Masters. We all need it lady X'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Oh but the positvity is simply bouncing off the walls and I'm loving it.
And in thinking about things this song

is the anthem of my life.
Whatever has happened, I get knocked down, but I always get back up again, and live to be happy again another day.
Acceptance is so the key, along with changing what you can etc,
I just want to go with the flow for a while and see what new opportunities are out there, because the past is for reference not for residence and no matter what happens, I will get there just the same xx0
