Woohooooooooooooooooo, Go Me, I've eaten my frog, and it was the biggest, ugliest, slimiest, amphibic, toadiest frog I ever had to confront. And I've devoured it. I feel good.
Don't want to say yet what it was, but the fact that i've done it is going to make my life alot lighter. x0 -
Morning Matrix
Not religious, but I’m going for New Start Sunday as well
Done 11/2 hours study and stopped for a coffee – proved what I already knew:o I need to do that first thing while the brain cell is still flickering otherwise I just drift.
Congratulations Parsnip – that is wonderful
Claire – hugs, I hope things are better this morning. If you share the laptop I do not see why he has changed things and tried to stop your access.
Being single I try to keep away from ‘domestics’ but as others have said, he should not be speaking to you like that. Any chance of a quiet calm chat to explain how much he hurt you and see if he can possibly explain?
Morning MG – we have haar as well, although I think it is lifting a bit, what someone described as a ‘milk-of-magnesia’ sky.
Fantasia – well done on the frog-eating
Right off to have a look at MG's video clip0 -
ok, just checked my work e mails.
I am on a masters programme, but not really doing it at all if I am honest. I have to make a decision today about whether or not I carry on.
it would be great to have it but I do not have an awful lot of time to complete it. end of July I think............I would need I think to finish two modules plus the double one we are doing at the moment.
I don't know whether to give up or go for it. I really don't
any advice?

Hi everyone
It feels very positive and happy here today- well done on eating that frog Fantasia. It always feels good to get a big task out of the way.
Feeling good here today myself. I've got some spending money for my birthday (being spent on eBay to make it stretch further) and some lovely clothes too. Off to the shops this afternoon to see if I can get some bargains.
Have a lovely sunny day

Just back from my "duty session" at the nursery. I went in surrounded by my calm bubble ............. and the comment from the playleaders "Don't know what's got into these kids, they are all so calm and productive today":j
Except for DS2 who I have discovered has a predeliction for dressing up as a princess; frock, crown the lot and "ballet dancing" around the room when there is music playing :rotfl::rotfl:.
Shall I open the "nature v nurture" debate:D
I like the idea of being done with the Big Horse Bank on Independance day though - That would really make me feel good.

Questions I would be asking myself is.
What extra would I get from doing it?
How much time have I invested so far?
How much time would I need to invest?
I did a Masters whilst working but was lucky that I got study leave - do you get that? If you did would you be able to catch up?2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0 -
Buffy - gosh, that's a difficult one. July is still a good couple of months, and more, away, so I'd say it really depends on you. Why aren't you doing it at the minute? Be honest - with yourself even if you don't share it here. Maybe ask yourself some questions:
- why did you start it in the first place? Is that reason still there? If not, why not?
- Why aren't you working on it now? Is it too difficult? have you asked for help? Who from? Or is it too easy? Is there something you could do to make it more challenging?
- if you finish it, what will it enable you to do? If you don't finish it, what will it stop you from doing?
- is anyone else relying on you to finish? Or expecting you to?
- if you've not been doing it for a while, why haven't you given up already?
- imagine 6 months down the line if you don't finish it - will you regret it? Or will you be glad you had the time to spend on something else?
- what other things do you have to do in the next 2 months? Because you can get plenty done in 2 months, but it's really not a long time out of your life to put a few other things on hold. What would you have to shift to make room for it in your life?
I find that if something's become a bit of a burden, you can either get rid of it, or you can change your attitude to it and apply yourself in new ways to make it fun again, or at least useful. It sounds like you'd like to finish the masters, and it'd be a shame not to use the time you've already spent on it, so I reckon sit yourself down and have a good long think about why you want to give up - if it's only because you can't be bothered (or whatever) - ask yourself honestly is that a good enough reason? (it might be!)
(sorry, lots of questions there, I'm sure you've already asked yourself some of them at least!)
MG - how long would that give you? You do like a challenge, and I've got no doubt you could get your teeth into it if you tried! :T :T Why not work out exactly what you'd have to do to get there and let us know and see what it feels like?0 -
^^ Buffy ditto what they both said and they should know they are both "masters" at just this kind of dilemma I would say.
MG - I think that sounds like a great challenge to yourself and I know that you are always up for a challenge. Without wanting to sound negative as I am sure that you have thought about it, make sure that it isnt too much pressure on yourself and the little ones. You need to live each day as well as move your life forward. With that in mind I think that it might be good to make a plan, kind of like the leaves on your branches but with details of how you will reach that goal and see if it is truly manageable. For example in order to save X amount of pounds you will do without X for X weeks, or you will put Z pennies into the pig per day (like a PAD). Once you have done that you will know if it is manageable. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0
