I am watching Eurovision and enjoying it. The standard is much better this year than other years and there are even a few songs that I quite like. Wish they would get on with the voting though, I am interested to see how it pans out this year now they have changed the system.OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

I'm NOT watching and I'm enjoying that! LOL! Eurovision just doesn't do it for me although I do enjoy reading everyone elses chat about it on FB and Twitter!
Haven't you all achieved lots today! We've done nothing....! Well, not strictly true - we've been to The Raptor Foundation in Cambridgeshire which was an excellent fun day out - I've just blogged about it with a picture of my favourite dinky falcon! It was a budget day too - admission was paid via Clubcard deals and we just had to add £1 to that. Then we had a look at St Ives on the way back (been to the Cornwall one but not the more local one bizarrely!) - had a nice wander around the town, a look at the river, and an ice-cream courtesy of OH! Also popped into Waitrose (I SO rarely go in waitrose!) and bought some growing salad (£1) Some Chicory (reduced to 10p!) some lovely pink radishes (46p) and a large bunch of asparagus (£1.32). Couldn't resist the chicory but don't have a clue what to do with it so will be researching some recipes!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Morning,
Lots of busy days yesterday, the Matrix getting things done. I am picturing you in your boudoir for your birthday MG with a wee dram.
We considered a takeaway last night, but decided to defrost some pasta sace leftovers instead and it was delish. Going to spend what we would have spent on the Chinese on some bits for the refurbed bathroom - much better for the pocket and the waistline.
Haven't watched Eurovision since Wogan stopped doing it - used to love his comments, but, trying to get something on interactive, we accidentally switched over complete with subtitles to the French entry, the young lad looked good but the translation of the Corsican words looked like the song would depress the life from you Not very sing a long :rotfl:
Well done on the apron Claire, Hope you enjoyed the wedding OO.
Going to do a bit more in the garden today, I think I am doing something wrong as all my little lettuces and rocket plants seem to be dying so need to investigate.
Have a good day0 -
Sorry but I loathe Eurovision......it's just a farce now. It's not sour grapes because we don't win (lets face it given our acts no wonder) but it's no longer a competition, it's about voting for your neighbours (did we REALLY give Jedward 12 points?!). I'd just rather the cash was spent on other things.
Anyway moving on
Plans for today are to take the kids out to Spetchley Park Gardens. OK it's not a castle but the nearest on to us is Warwick Castle and whilst it's fantastic it's horrendously expensive so will use some Tesco clubcards to visit there again.
So packing a picnic and going to enjoy what will hopefully stay sunny weather
I need to start tackling some frogs next week. Made a list and then have sat on my laurelsSo family day today and then back to getting stuck in from Monday
Have a fantastic day everyoneI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
Gloriously sunny here today
Off to the aged P's loaded with photos of yesterdays wedding
But DS2 has agreed to move furniture for me Monday evening in return for a roast shoulder of lamb (his fave)So after 2 days off I'll be back at the coal face
Have a great day everyone :A0 -
Quiet again tonight. Are you all engrossed in Eurovision?!
Haven't watched Eurovision for years. Used to be good in the early years but with all the political voting it seems to me to have lost it's way. Was a time when the voting was about which was the favourite song!!!!!! Of course there have always been cultural variations that made Countries vote for songs that fitted with their own cultural preferences but this was understandable. I don't think I've even heard our entry for this year...was it good?.....did we get any points?
Beautiful day here. Pure blue sky and bright sunshine again. Looking forward to getting going with some projects today.

Morning Ladies
Bit too chilly for a cuppa outside this morning - but the garden smells all green and growy. DS1 is going to move some soil into the raised beds later and we will begin the pricking out of leeks, bens, peas n stuff - little at a time. Then we need to sow another few seeds to keep us going.
Need to talk to Dad about our tomatoes - I'm thinking they could be grow in boxes on the wall which gets the most sun - we have got abut half a dozen varieties and DS1 will be so pleased if he can actually grow some.
Bread is on - yogurt is mega thick and in the fridge, brisket is cooked slow cooker and is ready for carving up - so a producive Sunday can happen here at MG Manor. I realise that although we spend very little we actually have a very abundant life. .............. a better quality of life than when I was "working for the Bank" - ow I am "working for my boys" and that is a much happier place to be.
Off to feed thae cats - and then I'm sure the boys will surface.
