Two double sausage and egg Mcmuffins and a coffee is the ultimate hang over cure.

Amen to that! Throw a couple of hash browns in there and you are in heaven!

Well done on losing a stone :)

Cheers El. The weird thing is I'm enjoying the gym. I've joined a new one nearby with a decent range of equipment and I'm going with a mate so we're spurring each other on a lot. And (Saturdays McDonalds / KFC aside) I'm not missing junk food one little bit and am finding I'm trying out healthier foods that I never knew I liked.

I absolutely detested bananas at one point, couldn't stand the smell of them. Now I love them. I've just tried aubergine for the first time and it's great. Courgettes too. And my wife has just made a meat and cheese free lasagne and it was fabulous. I've discovered that I like olives too. Pumpkin seeds are a no-no though. I felt a bit sick after trying those.

So I'm going to forget the absolute targets. I'm just going to keep on going until I can look in the mirror and say "yeah, this won't make people run away screaming" :rotfl:

Anyhoo, I'm varying the gym between lots of cardio work, and lots of resistance work so I imagine pretty soon the muscle gain will balance things out, and my graph will level.

hi greypilgrim, re pumpkin seeds, there's a recipe I use with sunflower seeds that I believe also works nicely with pumpkin seeds, you throw about a cupful or so into a bowl, slurp in enough olive oil to coat them (but not so much there's olive oil left over), chuck on some worcestershire sauce (say a teaspoonful or two, depends on taste) & salt, mix it for a couple of seconds with a fork till everything's evenly coated, spread on a baking sheet and bake for 15 or so minutes at about 180 degrees C till golden brown and toasted looking. A nice snack, healthy and miles less fatty than nuts. worth a try maybe?

Cheers Cathy, will give it a try. I didn't mind the pumpkin seed while I was eating them, but they kept repeating on me and made me feel sick. Maybe they'll be better toasted.....

GF well done for loosing a stone, you must be proud!

just a quick question though, how much of your lost stone do you think has got to do with the exercise youve done?

(only asking this as i have a stone or 2 to lose and dont mind the diet side of it but im still kicking and screaming when it comes to the exercise side, im a well lazy cow!!)
