Driving without insurance

Told you I changed ISP around that time, so the email address I was using no longer worked, but they should have known that as it would have bounced back to them.
In addition I paid them for the entire year in advance , so there was no monthly payments.
Then in my opinion, you are innocent of everything except neglecting to follow up by checking your insurance was not cancelled.
As it happens, this year I forgot to include the evidence of my NCD, and I received a letter stating that, "If not submitted by x date, my insurance would be cancelled".
I sent the NCD evidence by return post, and received a letter saying that it was accepted within a few days.
Your last contact was with them saying your insurance would be cancelled if you didn't supply evidence of your NCD, so that was the default condition. You didn't check to see if your NCD evidence had been accepted, or wonder why you hadn't received confirmation that it was.
What sort of penalty (if any) they might apply for negligence, I've no idea.
And who's negligence? Seems both yourself AND the insurers office staff.0 -
And you seem to be funny when you troll on here, you offer nothing at all on this section of the forum as your comments are all the same!Freddie_Snowbits wrote: »So we should all drive on the road without insurance?Uninsured drivers inflict a major financial burden on other motorists, estimated at around £380 million each year or around £30 of the cost of each insurance premium. The damage caused in road traffic accident results in large number of claims for settlement by the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB).
Uninsured drivers also impose other costs on society. Research and surveys show that uninsured drivers are more likely to be involved in road traffic accidents, fail to follow road traffic signs and signals and potentially be involved in other criminal activity.
While it is noted in this thread that OPs problems were excited by the realisation of her non insurance, you replied to my first point as I was some form of troll. My question isFreddie_Snowbits wrote: »So we should all drive on the road without insurance?0 -

All this driving without insurance would be rapidly reduced if all cars found being driven whilst uninsured were immediately "cubed". If nothing else, it would tend to concentrate the mind of drivers if their "pride and joy" was at risk.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

The thing is they wouldn't be able to do that in some cases as the car is under finance so not their car, but I agree something must be done which is a bit more draconian as obviously what is there now is not working.
Perhaps if the car is sold on to finance the MIB if it has value beyond crushing, and to stop people buying cars unless they buy a full year's insurance, tax and MOT when the car is purchased it might help, might take some policing thatExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What about using an existing system?
3 months ban for no insurance, 3 instances of no insurance gets a lifetime driving ban?
I think most of us will know, that some people deliberately drive with no insurance, so a 3 month ban won't stop them. Three times though, and it will be illegal to even be in the driving seat. Should mount up pretty quickly. They won't even be able to register a car in their own name, because the DLVC will flag up a banned driver.0
