thanks LB, that is a great lyric. I have not listened to much Stones stuff properly but I have a beginner's list from a guy I used to work with, which I have kept over the years. I will look it out and get stuck in

afternoon all. not much to add so far, but was just thinking about having an ice cream today when the van comes round to the office.
no word of a lie, a few minutes later I heard the music. I don't think I could have heard it while I was thinking as there was a reasonable gap between the two. Am getting a bit worried about this, I know there are psychic tendencies but have never explored them as I have been too afraid. maybe it's time to give this some thought?
How excited am I about the wedding tomorrow! :j looked at the website to see what the Royal Harpist will be playing in case she was going to be performing at the service - I thought it was unlikely and she will indeed be playing at the reception instead. This is a very ancient traditional post that Prince Charles resurrected quite recently, and it is held I think for 3 years before passing to another Welsh harpist of 25 years or younger. A lovely tradition I think, and a great opportunity.
Anyway the music choices sound wonderful and will add even more joy to my day tomorrow! I am planning bubbles, chocolates, feet up, other nice nibbles and a day of utter relaxation
(apart from a blast of Davina first thing so I can munch without guilt!). Am hoping to find nice jammies tonight in the supermarket - saw some OK ones in Mr T last night and was quite surprised, maybe Mr S will have some new ones in since last week. Payday today so there is a little amount for something nice
Might be seeing Mr P on Sunday :silenced: am trying to remain calm in case it doesn't happen, while really hoping it does! :rotfl:0 -
All sounding great and positive LHG. I think opening up and allowing happiness in draws in more happiness, if that makes any sense. Personally, I don't think the universe has anything to do with it - the right thing will happen for you, as long as you are willing to let it. It is always good to hear about lovely things that are happening to other people, so don't feel bad about writing it all down.
Well done on enthusing your student. It's got to be the best thing in the world to inspire and help someone else.
Have a fab day tomorrow."Green pastures are before me,

I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -

afternoon all

well I am slightly tipsy having sunk half a bottle of pretend champagne :rotfl:
LOVE LOVE LOVED the dress and as a massive Alexander McQueen fan, I am so so so so SO glad she chose that as a dress! My wedding dress that wasn't was a fantastically reduced purple McQueen frock so I may have to have a little try on later as I can now fit in it having lost a bit of weight :rotfl:
The music was wonderful. They walked out to something I played only a few weeks ago so was singing along
(even though there weren't any words) and the choir were brilliant. The Bishop of London's address was lovely too, some very thought provoking stuff regardless of how religious you are or aren't
I have no plans for the afternoon so may have a bath and will do some practice once I have sobered up a bit

oh and Souk, MrP was the guy I saw a couple of times but was then dithering massively (mentioned on old diary). Seems he is very much all about the last minute, which would normally be fine if I didn't have to plan all my weekends months in advance  I currently know what I am doing for most of June and July 2012 at the moment!
So will see. Would love it if it happens but will move on and get over it if it doesn't

Wahhhayyyy  found you again thanks to wordsworths cryptic message....
What a positively lovely time you have been having whilst I have been away moving house and motorbiking weekending....etc etc.
Its great to hear you sounding so happy....:). Started to read some of your posts but trying to read it on a blackberry flattened my battery so thought that as I get the internet back on today then I could catch up properly.
So the biggy question is have you been tempted by the new bike yet?

Are you still tipsy? Have you got stuck to the bath? Did you get entangled in your harp strings? Run off with MrP?
Hope all is well."Green pastures are before me,

Hi! yes am still about
no harp related (or anything else related) dramas!
Had a very busy few days without internet access and really enjoyed it.
Saw friends and family over the weekend, collected the new arrival and went to sit in the sun and watch the bike racing up north yesterday. Felt a bit lonely yesterday but generally just enjoyed some great racing and some good results for my friend's team :j saw a few old faces and it was nice to catch up but otherwise kept myself to myself
It has been a weekend of lots of 'processing' time as it were - brain wasn't occupied with work so has been going overtime on life stuff instead. Feeling a little lost again in lots of ways, but also excited about the new harp. I have been plinking on big harp tonight and thinking of things that would work well on the little harp and just messing about and experimenting in general.
I've also found a shop in town that looks like it should have what I need in terms of amps and cables etc so I can get some things recorded properly. I did try on Friday but it didn't come out well because of the whirring from my ageing pooter :rotfl: Hopefully the shop should be good for chatting to a few likeminded people and finding out what's going on that I could get involved with too
Apparently it is random hug week this week so I gave out one to my friend when I took my race ticket back to him this evening. He looked pleased and hugged back so that was nice
MrP - didn't work out, as expected, very pithy but I wasn't surprised. I told him I was getting some very mixed messages and he was very apologetic. There is another weekend Possibly arranged (hence Mr P :rotfl:) and this really is the last chance now. If he hasn't managed to bump me up the list in 3 months, then he Just Isn't That Into Me and I really will back off. I have a better feeling about it this time than previously so am trying to remain optimistic without setting myself up for a massive fall (rolls eyes!)
Oh and I have decided the bike in the shop isn't the one for me
lots of reasons but mostly I am thinking so much harder about how I spend my money now and want to be sure I am doing the right thing. Watching the racing yesterday I am really keen to get back to it, and spending my pennies on a shiny road bike isn't the way to get on the race track sadly.
Overall I would say I am thinking hard but not rushing/pressuring myself in the way I have previously.
I am hopelessly out of the loop on diaries but have been catching up on email alerts today so am getting there!
