no, circle would fit in a normal square! did at least 250 calories at gym so not thee but better than nothing!

hmmm so v annoyed at stupid bank and credit card co!

noticed last night that my credit limit had been reduced to £900! was £2800 i think (never anywhere near that) but they hadnt even told me! rang to complain on their premium rate no and spent 12 mins on hold. they apologised and said it had been done in error and they had already realised and would go back up. i asked how much it cost to call them as they did not display the cost and they put £5 in my account to cover it.

i opened my new account over 3 weeks ago and was told that was how long the switch process would take about 3 weeks in total. not even got my date yet and called them and they have no record of receiving the form. really !!!!ed off as means i need to start from scratch and wanted it all sorted for when i get my next pay :(

thanks chev! :) how is new zealand? that is my aim for when i am debt free! few weeks before my last payment i am going to open a savings account and once the payment is made i will transfer most of the money that i am paying atm into it each month for a nice trip to new zealand in 2013 :D even though i will have more money as dont need to pay debts back i will stick to a budget as cant go back to just withdrawing cash as and when as no way of keeping track what its gone on! will maybe up it slightly though to reflect i am debt free! should be able to save about £450 per month :D

need to type up 3 reports from yest still :o once i have done that i am going to calculate what i earnt per hour for the jobs done yest! i am determined never to get into debt again as just thinking of having to continue all the MS as well as my job forever is not a nice thought! :rotfl: will also post it on the MS thread so newbies can see it is not going to make you a millionaire as sick of the 'how much do you all earn questions?' !

    so plans for today-
    • give house quick tidy (cant be bothered to clean)
    • make 3 batches of soup
    • do 3 reports
    • pop to tesco
    • spend a few hours making revision notes
    • maybe have a swim
going to give myself an extra £10 food budget this month. have got about £7 left to last til 19th which is fine as i did shop yest and will only need to buy 1 bottle of milk, bread and maybe oranges. however the sausages i love are on offer in tescos at £2 pack instead of £4.60. they had run out yest. so i am going to go and buy 3 or 4 packs as the offer ends today. will not save much (as i would not buy full price and usually only spend less than £3 on a pack) but means sausage casserole will b v nice and something to look forwards to rather than being a so so meal. i have earnt so much this month i think i can spare £10! ;)

New Zealand is pretty lovely at the moment. The weather is just starting to turn, but it has been really sunny quite late into Autumn. It is nice not to have had to put on the very expensive heating yet! Just need a job now and things would be ace....

hmmmm i am soooooooooooo desperate to get my payslip now! almost more excited to get that than the actual money as it means i will know the amount so can fill in spreadsheet! :p:o:D

so i have been playing with it anyway and i think that before the end of the month i should have £2000. this is £1300 backpay/ot, £340 rent and £360 in MS payments that should arrive before 31st. hope i have underestimated backpay and will get more! did lots of overtime during this period so maybe will get extra for that backdated, not sure!

after this, each month i will get £340 rent and i am aiming for £310 in MS. this should be acheivable based on current figures. plus i will take a day or two off a month if i see a good circuit of jobs for weekday. this will equate to £650 per month.

i will also get another payrise of around £150 at some point. hopefully should be by oct. however when i get to this stage i am not suposed to have another 'job'. so i will need to stop all the overt stuff i do. as these are the best paid jobs, i may not actually be better off anyway if i cant get enough other jobs to fill it. however, means i will not be worse off and will have more free time :T:D. therefore kept monthly extra amount to £650. if i can get more covert is a bonus!

so this will add up to £6550 extra income by dec 31st :T:j

so in that period i want to pay-
credit card- £888 (have bought a MS item on it, waiting to be paid)
    dad loan 2- £450
    overdraft- £600
    holiday- £200
    insurance- £150
    dad loan 1- £4503.43

    total- £6791.43

so need to earn extra £241.43 by then which should be doable. already got £100 overtime :D

    then next year i have-

    tax bill - approx £350
    holiday? - approx £500
    mum- £4015

    total - £4865

so need to find £2265 or £1765 if i dont go on holiday.

hmmm  will need to have a think! need to try an earn more than £100 extra each month! might be ok as some months do earn much more MS, eg this month its about £550! have said to friend about hol that we could book in feb and go in jan if i can afford it. so got 6 months to see how much extra i can earn and stick to budget so no pressure to book that! :D

Sounds awfully organised Clippy! Not sure I could be just yet, although people were giving me funny looks yesterday at work when we got our P60's as it means my rough calculation of what I should expect as a rebate is about right - just need to get the short term employer to actually meet their legal obligations and give me either payslips or a P45.

thats good about the calculations, lets hope mine are just as accurate... or that i have underestimated :D

just popped on to report that something very tragic has happened....

i have now run out of pasta bake sauce  sainsburys had it on 3 for 1 in sept so i bought about 15 jars :A however i have now run out and had to pay £1.40 for one jar in tesco  they did an own brand one for 20p cheaper but did not like the look of it as it was a bit too bright orange! it looked similar to the dolmio one but i like homepride- must find somewhere its on offer so i can stock up!

on that note my food budget has been completely blown and i reckon i am about £25 over :mad::(

need to have a serious look at what i have been buying! do have lots of sausages (enough for 20 portions of casserole :rotfl:) so going to make that. also have loads of chicken breasts in freezer. i have been buying stuff that could wait until new budget on thur but as am revising for exam and had to go out thought i might as well get it now. need to do a proper meal plan- eg what i will eat each day rather than just batch cook everything and fill freezer. will not be doing big shop til over a week after payday but enough meals to last since then. forgot a few things today so need to go morrisons tomorrow! o dear :o
