Yay for the hammock (I am a big fan of said relaxation device), if everyone had one I reckon global stress levels would plumit dramatically
Am most glad I popped by for a read, you are (as ever) an inspiring wee soul and have put me to shame with your beaverish industriousness and positive outlook. Am bowled over by how much you've achieved of late :T and am all inspired to dig out the old grindstone and place my nose within nostril singing distance forthwith!

hey clippy
try and come to new zealand for as long as possible. you really don't realise just how much there is to see here. You could spend a months just doing north island. and even then that would be hurrying it! You might want to think about a tour, there are some that do mega driving around but you get to see a whole load of sights in a very short time... The other thing to remember is that the roads are not as fast as the UK. So say a journey at home would take half an hour then estimate double that for over here.
Bear in mind that at the moment the exchange rate for GBP into NZD is the worst it has been for about 30 years, so keep an eye on it as it may affect how much a GBP you will need to save for spending money. When you are within a few months of going then start looking out for deals on attractions over here. there is the Grabone site for most big towns over here plus Spreets.
good luck with the debt busting
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

hi chev
unfortunately i will only be able to come for about 4 weeks as cant take longer off work so will def be a rushing around highlights tour! we toyed with the idea of getting a camper but think we will go for a tou. as you say we can see more in our time and it takes the hassle out of it. did one in south america and thailand and thought it was a good way to get around.
fingers crossed the exchange rate improves by then! remember when i went to oz it was really good and a friend went recently and it was much much worse for herthanks for the tips about the websites, will note them down for nearer the time
