Morning all
Firstly HUGE CONTRATS to both Taplady & cheerfulness4 on their DS's getting jobs yesterday. :T
And a MASSIVE Happy Birthday to Thriftlady :bdaycake:
Well I had a very productive evening as with the help of OH we managed to do half of the clothes that needed mending and all of the ironing. Tonight’s plan is to go through all the Christmas stuff.
I'm feeling quite down today as it's World Aids Day and it makes me think back and look at all of the friends I have lost over the years to this horrible illness and those still stigmatised by it.
Anyway that’s all from me for the morning. Hope you all have a great day and as always take or leave the :grouphug: as needed.HIV - Still no vaccine. Still no cure. Still ignoring it?
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Morning all.
PP - Hope results are good news for OH.
Well, mum is coming round to spend the day with me and I'm really looking forward to it. The house looks lovely (well downstairs anyway) because I did my flybaby challenge thingy yesterday.
Once DS1 is at work, I've got DS2 organised with his school work and I've got the WM loaded, I'm free to have a guilt-free chit-chat with my mum for the day. I'll whack Create & Craft on as well as she loves that. Must think of something scrummy to make her for dinner. She doesn't do HM much these days so loves all the OS recipes that I make up.
Good weekend to all.
oh and thank you Tinkerbell. It made our year!AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone :j :j
December 1st seems quite a special day for many people. It seems to kick off the Christmas preparations properly (although advent doesn't begin till Sunday), for me it's extra special 'cos it's my birthdayOH has the day off in honour of the occasion and we're planning a bit of Christmas shopping followed by lunch at our local gastropub. I'm also being let off the school run today:)
Hope everyone has a lovely day :beer:0 -

Put ITV 3 on this morning especially to watch the interview with David Guest - he's decided he wont be doing any at allThink Jason to win!
Not much planned for today, kids at school, its their Xmas Fair later, So will pop along after work. Then to the vets to get the usual flea & worm medicine. Nearly £27 - at least my mum pays for her cats treatment. (if you dont know - her cat lives with me)
OH wants to go to IKEA later, he's after a glass cabinet to put his collection of tuskers in it. Gawd Knows where its goin to go. Another thing to dust.
Hope the other girl pulls her weight today at work. At least its friday, so can chill over the weekend.

Happy Birthday Thriftlady :bdaycake:
Sorry to everyone who thinks I'm ignoring their emails, I'm not - honestI'm going to catch up with them today
We've been busy helping sort out a wedding and other people's houses (great - but we put our decorating on hold to do this and not one of them has offered to help us - even though when they've popped round they practically fall over the paint and brushes. And it's obvious that the landing is only half-done  ) Christmas card sales have gone really well. Me and mr tru finally have some time to ourselves, we've hardly seen each other for weeks  I haven't really been proper OS for about a month so need you lot to kick me A LOT til I'm back to normalBulletproof0 -

Pen Pen You do seem to be obsessed with rabbits don't you.The four legged variety I'm glad to hear.
Tinkerbell I had no idea there was even such a day. It is a terrible disease and I hope in my lifetime their will be a vaccine.

Happy Birthday Thriftlady
Day is starting off with the school run, then taking the parents shopping. Back home to unload the shopping, pick DD up from school, grab a quick tea then off to the Goodwill Evening in the next town. I love it as it really starts to feel like Christmas now.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500
