    Good Morning All

Just finishining first cup of coffee of the day (many more to follow must get back to drinking more water again). Then will iron both childrens school trousers - have got some more being delivered hopefully today so that will make life a little easier.

Need to dig around in garage to find thermos flask as DD wants to take hot soup to the stables tomorrow - think will try and persuade OH to do that though. In a minute will make a proper plan of action for today - house is tidy but have washing, ironing and paperwork to do. Also want to dig out all the Xmas pressies and make a list of what is left to get.

Had horrible day yesterday - had meeting with our main client who once again wants us to reduce our rates for the same amount of work - this time though the meeting was easier as we made our minds up beforehand that we wont/cant do that. It could be done but only by making the wrong sort of cutbacks that would badly affect our staff and end up being more expensive in the long run iyswim. So its up to him at the now - if he wants a lesser service for less money then he will have to go elsewhere. Nothing we can do at the moment so its not very nice but will have to try and put it out of our minds until at least Xmas is over.

Oops sorry to ramble - best be off have a great day.

Morning all, and a happy December. I love everyone's festive avatars. I've commissioned DD to do one for me.

Finished the Christmas puddings yesterday, and will do more with the cake today. DH is off, so we're doing some internet shopping.

See you all later, Penny. x

  • Good morning everyone :hello:

Happy birthday thriftlady :bdaycake: Welcome tweenies and a Happy St Andrews Day to all Scots! (don't have a smiley in a kilt or I would insert one here. :D ) Edited to say how dumb am I? Yesterday was St Andrews Day. hangs her head in shame as she slinks out the back door.

Well, the spicy plum sauce was delicious, if a bit thin. Wasn't sure whether to thicken it with cornflour or not so just left it. I had some left over so this is in the freezer - how OS am I?? In the past I would just have washed it down the sink before doing the dishes.

The tax credits have gone in. :j :j :j so this means I can buy Christmas dinner now.

Nothing particularly OS planned for today as I am working then doing the school run then getting DS and DD ready for spending the weekend with XDH. I think I may try and do some painting this weekend though as my hall and staircase is looking a bit sorry for itself.

Have a fabulous Friday everyone. X

I do know i will be spending the day saying 'dont touch' and really will need eyes in the back of my bum, in case they start!!!!

    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Morning Guys!

Not a good night here. Should find out OH's results today and think we are worrying a little bit. Im sure he will be fine but still a worry though.

DW is on and house tidy. Cleaner (SIL) here today so nothing much else to do. SIL has been driving me mental going on about trivial things (sounds horrid I know) so OH is taking me out for a drive as I havent been out except hospital appointments. If I stay at home, I will be rocking in a corner by the end of the day:D

We have been invited to a party tomorrow night for my friend who died last week....giving him a proper send off:rolleyes: .....I dread to think what they have up their sleeve but thought if we can manage to show our faces it would be nice. Funeral still hasnt been sorted, but should be next week. He was a fun loving guy and I miss him!

Anyway, Id best go get washed and dressed.

    Breakie: Bacon, Egg and Beans
Lunch: Baked Spud, Ham and Salad
Dinner: Organic Basil Angus Burgers, Duck Egg & Chips

    Hugs to all.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :santa2: Morning!

A bit down today as they all had to go to France (Christmas shopping day/booze run) without me  I have overdone it again and now my legs keep giving way under me so best to avoid all those stairs on the ferry. Mind you, I have given OH a very detailed shopping list!;)

On the plus side I can at least get some Christmas gifts wrapped and some cards addressed. I also have my first chocolate to look forward to as lovely OH has bought me a Lindt choc advent calender:T

Mrs Mix - I am so glad you had a good nights sleep at last. Hope others manage it soon. (((hugs))) to all especially gingin and Bgn Rzl.

AgeandJo and poshpaws - hope your moves have gone ok.

Researcher - let us know how you get on with first ebay listing as it is something I must get around to soon (when I am feeling brave!:o )

I start to slowly decorate house for Christmas today - one decoration a day until Christmas (advent style) today is a lovely robin on a snow covered birdfeeder (£1 at a bootsale).

PP- know this is a difficult time for you (((((Hugs))))

    Morning everyone :)

    :):):) Happy Birthday Thriftlady:):):)

I feel surprisingly quite good today. It was musical beds last night in our house, ds was sick, dd was woken up so I ended up in bed with 2 children and OH got booted out into dd's pink junior bed and is still yet to emerge :rotfl:.

I have a productive day planned today. I'm helping out in ds's class this morning (puppet making) and then coming home, packing up some Ebay bits and going back to school and helping with a cake stall and bringing ds and a friend home who will stay for dinner.

DD and I had a lovely day yesterday, we had a mooch around and went to Starbucks. I had a "skinny" Carrot Cake and it was gorgeous, if anybody knows of the recipe for that or for a low fat carrot cake recipe I would be really grateful if they could share it. Best of all apart from the coffee and cake I only spent £5 on some christmas decorations and it was very theraputic.

We are looking forwards to I'm a celeb tonight. I really want Myleene to win and was shocked that David went last night. I might persuade OH to throw meal planning out the window and get Fish and Chips for dinner.

I bet all of those who have their decorations up have made their houses look gorgeous.

Have a good day and hugs to all that need them :)
