Erm, 8 items. As in 8 items through the till....
If this was for Asda, not quite - it has to be 8 different items. Different flavours (therefore barcodes) count, but not the same item twice.

My Tesco today asked me to sign both my old receipt and the voucher, the SA also signed both :S
I didn't question it, but I think I might if asked to next time.
    *Ahem* Mickey Mouse... Charlie Chaplin

I think I might go for a simple 'Mr A' if I get this. Thankfully SAs wouldn't stand for this either round here.

Yes i dont expect its really effecting them now they have the £20 cap. was rather stupid when they first started it without a cap.
just to think some highly overpaid executive first thought of it, without really thinking.
I think actually it was more a quick-fire attempt to beat Asda at its own game - there was considerable evidence suggesting customers were deserting T because of it and they wanted it back. Now they're stuck with it!

T FIN* TOMATO MOZZARELLA AND BASIL PIZZA please
All the time - no ill effects. I tend to freeze most things without even checking whether you're supposed to and nearly all the time it works out ok. FWIW I don't bother sorting clothes before washing them either - life's too short. Everything on 40.

Went to Tesco Brixton today to cash in yesterday's £19.50 worth. Items totalled £19.46 which was close enough, but I what I couldn't believe is that they gave me a £6 off £40 till spit. Now I wonder whats gonna happen to that :-)

Now I know why the shelf with racks of lamb in Tesco Brixton is almost always empty :D:rotfl::D

Slightly Off topic, does anyone know what Tesco's policy is on the Direct products instore? I was looking for toys for my children and spotten something in store for £30 that is only £20 in their catalogue (and £15 in Argos - does that count?) and something that they claim is price matched to Argos but is actually £20 more expensive.

    If only these were DTD!

    request for info.

we dont generally freeze stuff, other than things already bought frozen so forgive my ignornace.

the beef joints, can they be frozen? once frozen how long will they last before needing to be used?

in general, meats that have a "suitable for home freezing" on them, how long is safe?

also: Tesco Finest Tomato Mozzarella And Basil Pizza 474G http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=267024252

it says on that page it can be frozen but i see nothing on the packaging that says it can be. again, is it safe and how long?

my freezer is a 4 star chest freezer.

    thank you.

We are all paying cash in the main and I've asked them to save their change (anything less than £1 coins) in a jar and when this all comes to an end, get the jar cashed in and donate that cash to a cause close to their hearts.)
Can I also make the addition *not* to use the Coinstar machines to do it? They take a cut of 7 or 8% which is money the charity could put to much better use. For those in the SE Metrobank has free versions available to everyone (not just customers), and elsewhere many banks (including town centre HSBC branches and possibly others) have ones for paying into accounts from which you can make a transfer to charity.

ETA: Or bribe a child (with a Flump!) to count it for you...
  • Hi, guys. Newbie here (to the site and DTD)

I've followed this thread for a few days now and was just wondering about a few things.

First of all, sorry if these questions have been answered, the process seems a tad confusing and a few things have totally gone over my head! :o

Where can I buy a voucher?

Am I correct in thinking you can only buy £20 vouchers? If so, what if you only wanted to buy two items that came to, say, £1.20? Do you get a new voucher with the remainder of your money on?

If I bought a load of DTD items and a couple of non-DTD items, would I still be able to use my DTD voucher for the DTD items or would I pay cash for it all (ie. do I have to shop for DTD items seperately)?

Is DTD saving you a lot of money?

I'd appreciate all the help I can get. It seems like a great deal to take advantage of but I'm just not sure of the exact details, yet.

Thanks in advance for any help and please excuse my ignorance!
