My 4yr old said to me today- We are going by my rules today mummy! thats no shops just the park, the beach & visiting grandma! No shops & shops & more shops!! He was soon lolled by the ice cream- sausage rolls - more ice cream! then we took him to the park - Grandmas - Do you think this is child abuse????

No. Not at all. Fantastic parenting skills.

It's teaching him valuable life lessons.

1- Always respect your elders - they know best
2- Rewards are earned, not freely dished out (until you are old enough to DTD)
    3- Economics
4- It's good to join in with family events.

All makes sense. If you ever start to doubt yourself, go for the safe option - lock him in the shed while you go and shop.;)
In one hand and out of the Other!

Not sure if anyone still mad enough to be here can help, but I was late going to Mr T's, dashed in the door, and didn't manage to submit receipt before midnight.... was about 5 past, grrrrrr.
Wondered if that means I won't get results tomorrow, if so that will be annoying as I wanted to post the results of my Bells Whisky deal!!!!
Hope it does arrive so I can let you know how my shop went, hopefully

Hi there, welcome to the party!
Please read the first post on this thread and it should answer most of your questions. Feel free to ask anything you're still unsure of once you have read that.
    :)

Thanks for the replies and welcome! I've read the first post over and over and most of it's still whooshing over my head :D

It seems I'm just gonna have to make a Tesco account and make it up as I go along and see if I get anywhere with it!

I think you should take some time to read post one.

You don't buy a vouchers as such, You buy a selection of items which you know to be cheaper at Asda than at Tesco. You buy these independently of any other shopping. You then input your receipt details in to the tesco price check website.

Normally the next day this will generate a voucher equal to DOUBLE THE DIFFERENCE between the total price of your shop in Tesco and Asda. The maximum value of this voucher is £20 so there is no point in making a basket of good where the price difference is greater that £10. You can however start as small as you like.

Thank you - I'm now at the start line! :rotfl:

Yesterday when I looked at the spreadsheet, it had four Easter eggs for £0.00 after DTD, if I remember correctly. If I added them to my basket along with something for £1 after DTD, I'd pay £1 for the five items, wouldn't I? Would this be higher (the Asda or the original Tesco price) when it comes to my £100 a month, though, or do I get £100 worth of DTD?

That'll be my last question, sorry! :o I know there's lots of info in post #1, which must wind you all up when you get simple questions like mine being asked, but it just doesn't seem to be entering into my system!

    Thanks again :)

    hi elsie1969
i have submitted a receipt around 3am in the morning and got the results back before noon the same day with email and everything! it was the quickest turnaround on a voucher for me so far and all others have taken at least 24 - 48 hours.
    Hope you're lucky too

Re: YOO LIGHT THING VANILLA & TOFFEE 6x180g

The spreadsheet contains the comment 'Caution! this does not show on asda site'

Well of course it doesn't. Yoo is a Tesco brand, ASDA ain't ever going to be selling it. Presumbly the pricechecker is picking up some comparable ASDA own brand equivalent. Don't ask me what. I don't even like youghurt.

You get £50 worth of price difference which is £100 of vouchers back.

Here's one of my "baskets" I used recently

    Surf Small & Mighty tropical - 54 Washes (1.89L) £8.99/£5.00
    2 packs medley bars@ £1.81= £3.62, 2 for £2 at asda
    Pantene Pro-V Colour Protect & Volume Shampoo (500ml) & conditioner 400ml £3.77 each total £7.54 , £3.50 for 2 at asda

Total spend at Tesco = £20.15
Total cost at asda = £10.50

    Voucher back = 2x(20.15-10.50) = £19.30

Well YOO live and learn. Although I never updated it, I had no idea it was a Tesco brand. ;)
