This is because it is still on the spreadsheet, just struck through (which is just a formating of font, like red or green text) - hence the Mr T program cannot 'see' these expired items as being expired.

Me for one do not really understand why they stay on the spreadsheet for so long after expiration, it does make Mr T's brill app a bit less than perfect through no fault of bez's.:(

I'm sure he will fix it eventually (as he seems to like a challenge!)

Not much I can do about that sorry. I get the feed in plain text without the strike through etc.

As scotsgirl pointed out it's been like this for ages and is fine in the html spreadsheet - and I didn't ask permission (until after I made it, sorry!).

To be fair when you click on an item it shows the asda/tesco pages so you can check the current prices. It's the whole reason I made the app :)

Has there been a change in the rules saying that the store has to keep my receipt along with the voucher?

Just had a run in with my local store - they insisted their new training said they HAD to keep my receipt - couldn't give me a copy as they didn't have a photocopy machine. They said I could go back to the original store and ask them to print me another but I don't often go to that store, and since I've just been (hence the voucher) I don't expect to go again for a few weeks.

As it was almost closing time on a bank holiday I thought there was no point asking them to ring head office to check - but I am not happy - I think I have a right to keep my receipt. What if I need to return anything, or if the bank make an error with the amount they debit from my account, surely I should have the receipt as evidence?

I know others have had this problem in the past, and the general reply has been that it's just shops making up their own rules - just wondered if there really has been a change now? Is this worth complaining about, do you think?

They are clearly making it up. I never worry about the previous receipt, i have no need for it... I'm more focused on getting the newly printed receipt off of the machine..

If you really need the receipt then kick up a fuss, if you dont, then i'd let it go.

I'd never buy anything i needed the receipt for in with a DTD shop though.

Point taken! However, I really genuinely am one of those sad people who keeps receipts! I have piles and piles of them (neat piles, that is, in chronological order, and all logged and recorded ;)), and I do check my bank statement every month. Maybe it's sad but I like to keep on top of it.

The point remains though, what if I had bought something I needed to return. Surely I should be able to keep my receipt?

My dad is the same, if he has paid by card he keeps the original receipt until the card bill comes in, only then does he shred them.
  • Don't know if it has been mentioned but the J20 goes down to £2 a pack tomorrow in Tesco, same price as Asda

I'm the same - watch that new receipt like a hawk. A few days ago had a newbie on the tills and she tried to sign the new receipt. Almost had a heart attack :rotfl:
