Tesco/Asda Pricechecker Thread - part 5

My Tesco have figured out a way around people getting dtd on roast beef - they're now only selling joints costing £7. Still £8.48 per kg, but every one is weighed out, and labelled (as is the shelf) at £7. Therefore under 1kg, and no dtd.
I saw loads of smaller £7 pices on the shelf at my local Mr T's, but searched around for a bit and found another section at eye level that had larger pieces - and there were quite a few. Got a nice piece of topside in the fridge AND managed to snaffle the last two racks of lamb today in the same store.0 -

The point remains though, what if I had bought something I needed to return. Surely I should be able to keep my receipt?
sure if you made enough fuss you would get it returned.
does not bother me, especially when its only a recycled one.
if it contained a non-food, say electrical item then would be no doubt in you neededing it.0 -

Hi!
Love love love this thread
firstly, went to buy some vanish 1.5kg today as £12 online but sel showed £6 so totally messed up my list!!
Then, told the checkout lady I had 2 shops is that ok? She said yes it was ( one mine and one mum's) put the first through paid with voucher and difference on card
put the second one through and she refused the voucher said it was only one per week per customer, explained not for me etc but still adamant then supervisor called and confirmed that.
If I need to do mums shopping again (i don't have a car) will I have to pay for my stuff, leave the shop and re-enter with a trolley full of carrier bags? Just worried this will look suspicious!
The vouchers had correct receipts etc everything above board!
Because she would t accept it and mum needed the stuff had to pay on the same card againwill this mess my vouchers up?
Thanks in advance
I got stopped from using two in the north shields shop the other day they said it was One pppp.0 -
They are clearly making it up. I never worry about the previous receipt, i have no need for it... I'm more focused on getting the newly printed receipt off of the machine..
If you really need the receipt then kick up a fuss, if you dont, then i'd let it go.
I'd never buy anything i needed the receipt for in with a DTD shop though.

I guess I'm just sad! I do keep all my receipts, all logged and recorded! I probably won't 'need' it, it was mainly food, I think, and probably nothing I will need to return (unless that finger turns up in something) but I just feel better having the receipt in my little file at least until I've got my bank statement through.
I'm clearly VERY weirdI've wombled a couple of receipts before now and noticed people have paid with credit card and not kept the receipt! I wouldn't dream of throwing away a credit card receipt until I'd had the statement in!!! Clearly, I have a PROBLEM

I don't know if this would work, as the Tesco one states 'Airflow', and the Asda one doesn't.
I could be wrong though.
