'what's a spreadsheet?' - that's the killer line for me!
says the person who's been buying blu-ray dvds.
classic!
It's an anachronism though, isn't it? I didn't expect to be told of the spreadsheet and that's the first thing I thought of to say. Needless to say, I won't be going to her again, she knows what I'm up to!10 Ways to Spend All Your Student Loan In A Week0 -
IF the charity idea goes ahead it will not be on MSE directly. Nobody is talking about anything compulsory or enforced - various people have asked over the past few days about doing something to say thanks to the editors and it was thought that donating to charities that are special to us for whatever reason might be nice.
I personally think that is a wonderful idea, for me it is the RSPCA, and I have already done this, also thank you to you and your fantastic team for all the hard work you put in the ss.0 -
I've paid by card on all of my shops for me and my mum. They can't possibly track you by card - they'd be breaking all sorts of rules and regulations. With a clubcard I can see they might, as you sign up to their terms and conditions.
Actually they can - I was pulled up and taken to the cs desk. The manager was called and he appeared with a file and looked at my receipt went through his file and found one where the same credit card was used and said I was ok since I had only used 3 vouchers and was under the £100 so he "would let it go". I asked if he was allowed to keep copies of receipts with card details on and he said yes to match to the vouchers to check if people are abusing it!! Personally I thought this would be a breach of the data protection act but he was certain he was allowed to do this to check the dtd was not abused
It appears that only a small number of people are using large vouchers at the store and they can easily track them0 -

Just to let you all know, I have just had a voucher refused. I was taken from the upstairs of the store and made to stand next to customer services, whilst they went backwards and forwards between managers, and then she came back and said that due to people abusing it, and fraud, they are refusing vouchers where the original receipt says that a coupon was used to pay for it, rather than cash or card. I was so humiliated
:(:(
So I came home empty handed......
Which store was this?:j

I donate £6 a month to st johns ambulance, i think its very important that everyone gets the oportunity to learn first aid and by donating it obviously helps them be able to go to schools and do classes etc or send out the first aid guides and other things... I think this plus the red cross would be my choice for donating, but I'm not an editor am I lol
I think alot of the people on here are parents, would you know what to do if your child was choking? Knowing first aid could save your childs life. Also, we all know its not only children who choke or have accidents. If you were choking in a restaurant, there is only a 10% chance somebody in there would know first aid!0 -

AND I had an email from Tesco CS confirming that there is the known error on the numbers at the bottom and to print the email and [STRIKE]stick it up the SA's nose[/STRIKE] show it to the SA as confirmation if they dispute the voucher being valid...
This being after I had a voucher refused on Thursday (and it made me cry when I got homethey were so rude to me) can't wait to trot that into store... C'mon ickle Zoe, Checkout Manager, I've a few words for you...
Hi, would it be possible for you to copy and paste the email on here so that others that have had the same issue could copy, paste and print it loljohnsmithsfan wrote: »Actually they can - I was pulled up and taken to the cs desk. I'd ask your bank about that. There's pretty strict Data Protection rules - can't see how they'd be allowed to have a folder full of people's details lying around!.•¨¨*:•..•
