The difference gained on the Rosemount Shiraz is wrong on the spreadsheet. Mr T price £9.29. Asda price £5.98. Difference between the two is £3.31 x 2 = £6.61. Net cost £2.68
  • I've just done my DTD shopping and watched a bizare experience with a fellow DTD - no idea who it was but if someone one here was at the Dumfries Extra Tesco within the last hour, you better watch out they are on to you.

Just as I putting my shopping on the belt I noticed a kerrfuffle at the till, a good looking bloke was paying with a DTD voucher that was registered at £8.something but the voucher was printed as a £18.something (it sounded like £18.60). Me and the nice old lady in front had to wait ages for him to get a supervisor to come and check it out, in the end they refused his voucher, he told em to stick the shopping and left !.

When it was my turn to pay I handed over my voucher and watched the sales assistant (an even better looking bloke, he he see how observant I am!) raise his eye brows but he just scanned it and said " thank god for that I thought it was another fake!".

I asked if that was reason for the hold up and he said the guys voucher had a different amount printed on it from the barcode so it was obviously a fake. To which I added "oh thats awful, I suppose its like people passing off fake £ notes, how they think they can get away with it I don't know".

I forget to tell the SA assistant that I have two email address and I'm doing shopping for me on one and shopping for my eldest whos in the same household but moving out soon! (I know deal is one per household but its helping him stock up with non perisables before he sets up on his own!). I confessed so am I forgiven?.

So theres a word of warning - dont try to tamper with your vouchers, you'll get caught.

That's strange, all my vouchers have had exactly the same barcode on it and the SAs type in the ££s amount.

Not that I'm advocating changing the numbers in any way, that would be naughty.

So, I've saved as HTML, edited the numbers and re-printed the correct voucher. Is someone on this forum going to tell me off now? :)

I've just realised that the time stamp on my vouchers has gone from 24 to 12hr, the 4 digit code (part 5) is missing the leading digit and the 4 digit code (part 3) has an extra leading 0.

I too have amended these in HTML so fingers crossed!

OMG! DTD is going to end soon if people are doing this - changing the amount on the voucher is stealing .

On a separate note, i accidentally put my receipt from todays shop in my bag of frozen food and the moisture wiped off the time. This was not my local T, does anyone know if any T can reprint off the receipt or do you have to go back to the original one?

the barcodes are standard barcode to say its a coupon and the amount is manually entered so how would they see it was fake ???

Whenever I use my DTD voucher, the SA scans it and the correct amount is taken off of my total, even though the numbers below the barcode are always the same. :)

I saw the barcodes on my vouchers were different each time I used two, but they are always for different amounts so don't know if thats why.

vouchers that are less than £10 end with numbers like 'xxx976x'; in this example, the voucher would be worth £9.76.

if the person tried to change the voucher to £19.76, then they are just plain stupid.
