the barcodes are standard barcode to say its a coupon and the amount is manually entered so how would they see it was fake ???

I think the vouchers under £10 have the same barcode, and the ones over £10 have the same barcode. So by changing the value of the voucher from under £10 to over £10 might have flagged up the fact the voucher wasn't genuine.

vouchers that are less than £10 end with numbers like 'xxx976x'; in this example, the voucher would be worth £9.76.

if the person tried to change the voucher to £19.76, then they are just plain stupid.

I agree it spoils it for everyone if its abused like this and on another note - I bet its him that keeps nicking all the lamb and kids suncream. I should have chased him off!! Rofl!!

Whenever I use my DTD voucher, the SA scans it and the correct amount is taken off of my total, even though the numbers below the barcode are always the same. :)
I saw the barcodes on my vouchers were different each time I used two, but they are always for different amounts so don't know if thats why.

if the voucher is more than £10, then all the barcodes are the same. i.e. they're generic.

if the voucher is less than £10, then the barcodes are slightly different. they will contain the value of the voucher within the barcode. e.g. a £9.76 voucher will be something like 'xxxxxxxx976x' or a £3.48 will be 'xxxxxxxx348x'.

I've just realised that the time stamp on my vouchers has gone from 24 to 12hr, the 4 digit code (part 5) is missing the leading digit and the 4 digit code (part 3) has an extra leading 0.

I too have amended these in HTML so fingers crossed!

if you look at the info in post 1 you will see that it is a known issues and it is not necessary to mess around amending your vouchers.
