Tesco/Asda Pricechecker Thread - part 5

Sounds like 7 shops on the same till! Dunno how anyone has the chutzpah to do this, as it's such an obvious breach of the T&C. Personally, two shops at different tills feels like my limit - I'm still accumulating a ton of stuff.
I agree totally with you Scrummy, I wouldnt have the cheek to do 7 shops on the same day let alone go to the same till.0 -
I'm starting to worry again that I've done this wrong. I have a number of receipts which I have submitted using 2 different addresses (mine & DH). How do people know if their claims are processing? Is there something I need to log into or have I done it wrong?
Also:
Is there a minimum spend when redeeming the vouchers (not specified in FAQ)?
If I use a voucher for another DTD shop do I need to spend more to allow for a £20 voucher?
Can these vouchers be exchanged? I've seen people mentioning clothes and electricals and wondered if they can be doubled up like normal cc vouchers.
should receive the email the day after around 12 noon
as long as you use the full value of the voucher, as no change given.
no, as long as you spend full value, as above. you can spend less than £20 to get £20 voucher
no, cannot be doubled up. can be spent on whatever apart from "Cannot be used for purchases at the kiosk, fuel, tobacco, lottery, gift-cards or mobile phone top-up cards, optical, pharmacy or papershop."0 -
Just came back from an absolutely awesome shop. I just completed a possible record breaking 7 (SEVEN) coupon purchase all in one go.
I had my boy with me to help me out though. bloody hilarious walking round with my iPad shouting out exactly what he needs to pick up!!
Shop 1. Cost me 30p after £20 coupon!
Shop 2. Cost me 50p ditto
Shop 3. 94p
Shop 4. £15.08 for Whiskey & Southern Comfort, complaining that I will have to use my credit card on this one!!
Shop 5. £1.80
Shop 6. £1.93
Shop 7. £2.47
A grand total of roughly £160.00 worth for just over £23.00 with hopefully £140.00 worth of coupons from Mr T tomorrow. The young girl on the checkout was very impressed with my cunning saying "You certainly have this sussed".
I just said, see ya tomorrow with a similar shop.
I might use my flip camera on my next shop and post the film on here for a laugh. Even thinking of buying a 32" TV using just coupons and seeing if the young lad on electrical will accept it. He can only say no, its not allowed.
Sorry, but that is not something I would be proud of myself. So many shops, with the promise of the same tomorrow, is simply taking the pee, and it is an attitude like that which will mean the demise of the promo, and ruin it for everyone else.
I've heard stories of how this promo is making a world of difference to some people, giving them the chance to eat and drink properly, something they could not normally afford to do. Clearly this does not apply to yourself - people who are struggling financially do not walk around Tesco with an iPad, and buying Whiskey and Southern Comfort.0 -
where are the beef experts ?0

there are 2 different ones on asda and one is the same price at asda (£8.48 a kg) and another at £4.00 a kg so not sure if tesco will compare it with the higher priced one. Does anyone who as had DTD back on their beef know if asda had both these on sale when they purchased their beef from tesco.
It's a little confusing as the pictures of the products look very different but the one T uses to compare is the 'Large Beef Roasting Joint', on Rollback priced at £4. It's always been that one. We worked out ages ago that the right barcode is 023658 XYYYZ, where the X represents one variable digit, the Ys the price, and Z the standard barcode 'check digit'. If you make sure the price is £8.48 per kilo and the unit price is >£9 you'll be fine.0 -
Let it blow over was the same story the other day; the responce just causes a reaction..........SIMPLES!0

I dont know what others do , but I feel happy about spending that money when I have good vouchers. I always spend via cash, and I never use my clubcard.
Jude - Exactly Right, that way Tesco still get some spend through their tills in terms of cash, the way I look at it is they are getting the added spend from me over and above DTD that would otherwise have ended up in Morrison's till plus when the promo ends will need to spend the voucher values.
As for some posters on here they will get the offer pulled far quicker a bit like when Mr T used to take any coupon off your shopping, I had saved hundreds off my shopping over several years MSE comes along people start abusing and they pull it within months, guess that is life though always get P takers.
Thanks to all the posters on this thread0 -

anyone who uses the spreadsheet or the thread to target specific products(which if people are honest thats probally everyone on here) is abusing the t+c so whether one person does 1 shop from it or 7 they are still not in the spirit of things so to try and blame one person is pathetic..0 -

I got some the next day, so wasn't too concerned! The supervisors all know me by now and keep asking how to do it - I never know what to say for the best...

Never had any probs there and always do two shops with a barrier paying with recycled receipts. Not good for wombling though, the car park is uber litter free!0
