GRRR annoying! Just had some internet coupons refused. The young lad called the supervisor who (through the headset) asked if they accept internet coupons, they said no! Have used these type of coupons in tesco before just fine. Then when I tried to use my price check voucher he then said he'd have to ask the supervisor again, I pointed out all the signs for tesco price check, he then asked the sales assistants at either side of him who both said yeah just scan it blah blah blah, but yet he still insisted on waiting for the supervisor...

Yeah fair enough, like he said to me 'it's my job on the line'... BUT I have used vouchers with him before!!!!

My not-quite-nearest Tesco is a new Extra and wasn't too crowded this morning, though I suspect it's because not everyone knows it is there as it only opened before Christmas. I got beef and the antipasto (which is why I made the longer trip -- no antipasto stocked in my nearest) but was gobsmacked to discover no lamb racks! This is the first time there haven't been any since I discovered the store.

I lost a voucher the other day when the pricechecker thought my leg of lamb was half price and huge -- a money card is coming my way. So thought I'd buy some dishwasher tablets with real money to get myself a replacement and like an idiot, forgot to use one of the £2 off vouchers. But the (older male) SA took the vouchers without blinking, though he said he'd never seen them before, didn't check the numbers but did keep the receipts. I did four shops, getting rid of some small vouchers which came courtesy of the Wombles. I'm grateful for the reminder that these coupons run out soon -- I know it's daft, but it will be almost a relief because the combination of DTD and the vouchers means that I buy a pack most days and the garage is crammed full of the things.

Hmmm... Where are you, roughly? This sounds suspiciously like my local store.

EDIT: Nah, can't be my local - the second emboldened bit is a dead giveaway that it's not my store!

Nothing is a stupid question, if you don't know the answer.;) The date you receive your voucher confirmation please.

Whoops! I have been assuming it is the date of the shop, ie the date on the receipt, since that is when Tesco price-check it. For example, I put in a wombled receipt with an old date which happened to be when Doritos were on offer and I got DTD. If I had posted the date I received the voucher confirmation, then it would have made everyone think they were back on DTD. So surely it makes more sense for the date to be the date on the receipt?

Whichever the editors decide, would it be helpful to make it clear on the amendment form so that we are all doing the same thing?

keep trying. I got mine eventually. don't think I'll bother again doing home delivery

I used a voucher on clothes a couple of week ago. Didnt mix it with food but paid at checkout. As it happens, one item didnt fit when I got home so I took it back and they gave me a gift voucher!

I killed one with a couple of summers tops this week without any problems.

It's Walkden Extra. A lovely shop and my church is half way there so it also makes sense (!), petrol-wise, to go there after I have been to church.

Thanks for posting, will make a nice change from the meat and cheese ones I've been eating regularly!

Same in my local, I got excited yesterday when I spotted someone picking up a box of magnums then realised they were on offer and thats why!

    Look carefully!

the Classic - white, almond and just chocolate ARE £2.29 still. They have got some other exotic ones on offer for 'half price'

IT IS MY STORE! Thought I was alone...

A supervisor has been called EVERY time I've used a voucher and I've only ever been in that store.
