Has anyone successfully used the vouchers on clothes? I want to kill a few as i need some summer stuff. Is it best to pay at checkouts and mix food in or will they be ok on clothes only?

I used a voucher on clothes a couple of week ago. Didnt mix it with food but paid at checkout. As it happens, one item didnt fit when I got home so I took it back and they gave me a gift voucher!

*Not* that I'm advocating this at all, but how would they know? They don't check the numbers against the system - at least not at the point of sale - so unless they remember it how could they prove it at the checkout?

For anyone who's vouchers come back as 'processing' - which browser are you using?

I found that by using IE, using the back arrow and re-submitting it worked after 2 or 3 attempts whereas on Firefox it didn't seem to.

*Note: It doesn't work for everyone but it's worth a try.

I will try and bump this daily as it seems to have helped a few people and the query comes up regularly - and this thread moves SO FAST!

Thanks to the SS people for all your hard work!

Went into Tescos today, SA did not know what to do with my £20 coupon so he called a supervisor over. She made the receipt longer and typed in offer promise so the receipt had a big gap where she signed next to the wording of offer promise 'coupon redeemed' and put her initials beside it, The store assistant said he did not know what to do with the coupon and she told him he didn't need to know as supervisors authorise them.
I spent over £40 but know this should generate a coupon of £20. I was actually hoping I had miscalculated and i would get less then when I came to using the new one as then it would be obvious it was a previous coupon redeem.

I am not sure what to do now, do I go back to this store who have this policy with my new voucher and the receipt they have written on in the hope that they will know that it has not already been used? ie because of where they have written. Any advice would be welcome:question::question::question:

Thanks to everyone, especially ScotsGirl with whom I had a pm discussion, who helped with the SS problem on the iPhone which I posted before lunch this morning. I'm posting the solution in case someone else searches the thread with the same problem.

Basically, the link to the SS on Post 1 takes you to the store wars page and the link on that page shows you the SS though a Google Viewer, which can't be manipulated on the phone.

If you use the link on Post 2, you get the cuddly SS which I, for one, know and love and rely on as I go round Tesco!

Thanks again to all the SS editors. It's hugely appreciated.

I have also found an anomoly this morning. I had a receipt with a time of 09:56.
I put this time in the checker as hadn't received an email and it said it was still processing. Then enterd 9:56 and it came up with results!!
