I've just got home where I can check the receipt details by re-entering them (I never got emails for my Friday shop - had to enter the numbers manually again) and weirdly all three say they're still processing. How come I got an over-the-limit email earlier this afternoon then? Does that mean I should still get two vouchers come through even though the last one pushed it over the limit, or will I get none? Has anyone had something similar happen to them? These were shops done yesterday and people have reported receiving vouchers for those...

I had to go to CS today with my DTD voucher and the SA was horrible. Shopping went through till, then when I produced my voucher shopping was suspended and had to be recalled at CS tills. Didn't even want to give me a receipt for today's shopping that I paid for. Had dad behind me with his shopping and he got grilled about where his DTD voucher had come from. He just said "the internet" as he wasn't really sure. He was using a voucher from his shopping last week but as he is nearly 80 didn't understand what was going on, (I had input his receipt details for him) hence he came shopping with me. Again SA did not want to give him his receipt either. he said he was gong nowhere without a receipt as he could get stopped for shoplifting. SA grudgingly gave him receipt. This was Heswall store.

I cant believe how rude and unhelpful some staff are regarding these vouchers.

I used one today, young lad on till being trained by supervisor. Shopping went through, I handed over the voucher, the supervisor said "ah, this is a promotional voucher, you scan it, then input the amount". She then turned to me, said "do you have the receipt", I handed it over, she signed it, gave it back, and that was it! So simple and stress free.

That was only the 3rd one I have used, as got going on this a bit late, but am rather enjoying it!

Huge thank you to all those who do the spreadsheets etc, you are all stars xx

Wrong. Having the information and using it are two differing things.

Agreed. T will happily tolerate a handful of high-value users who represent a drop in the ocean in the grand scale of things.

Companies like Tesco can predict an awful lot through their data - like redundancy, a change in circumstances and even a looming divorce!

I've come across a link from another site regarding Tesco price check and wonder if anybody has any ideas/comments as to it's accuracy. I am not sure who is running/updating it but it looks interesting. If I am reading it right, if it shows 50% saving this would leave a net price of 0p IF DTD confirmed.

I think Whitehouse set this up and updates it, and I think it updates every night.

I book marked it when we were on thread 1 and find it quite useful for inspiration but it doesn't do a check on whether things come back N/A so there are some items on the list that look good but don't get found by price check Nutri-grain bars for example (think the hyphen is used by one site and not the other).
Like any list it's not 100% but I've found it good as a guide to then double check on T & A's websites.

I am very nervous about this whole business - especially after not receiving a DTD voucher, which I feel entitled to. Still - win some lose some. In my case only four attempts so far including tonight.
I am just returned from a Tesco raid to purchase two bottles of Chardonnay and a tub of Betty Crocker icing topping and discovered that there was a competition to win heaps of money on the Wolf Blass - got home and sadly the competition ended at the end of last month. I hope I get a voucher this time.
Many thanks to all the contributers - this is a very entertaining thread and rather like a Soap. I feel I know so many characters already.

I only started doing this on Friday - did two shops then and three on Sunday, and I've had an email come through saying I'm over the limit. They calculate it by some form of maths unknown to regular people with calculators! I've only submitted five receipts, and you can only get £20 each time, so how can I have gone over £100? Working it out based on the initial difference in price bears no relation to you getting £100 maximum back; they should say maximum £50 cheap each month if they do it that way.

I've emailed customer services to dispute this, but I've seen some people have luck re-submitting the receipt with a different email address and altering the time by one minute. Is it worth trying that? I only want to get the £100 monthly maximum back; I'm not into this for the long-haul and having a dozen different accounts, but I frankly feel a bit conned that they aren't keeping to their published T&Cs about the limit and I want to get what I was led to expect you could!

If you have emailed customer services then you probably want to wait for a reply before doing anything else. Someone mentioned that by changing the time by 1 minute and using a different email address prompts the system to run the check again and produces the voucher that you are entitled to - some have questioned that this will result in the time being one minute out (and therefore not matching the receipt), but I would think that the voucher comes back matching the receipt (as it is using the information to retrieve the exact transaction from the database - the one with one minute out doesn't exist!) - perhaps someone could confirm?

    Many thanks
