Crikey, do you want us to spend you vouchers too for you? :rotfl:
I would assume that you could spend less but get no change. Or is this to logical for them?0 -

Does anyone else feel totally knackered by DTD? :rotfl:
I had a pleasant experience at lunchtime, for to use my vouchers, although the reduced prices on the Smirnoff and Gordon's played havoc with my lists. :rotfl:
But I am pretty tired now... might do another few shops and then leave it for a few days. I need to cut down anyway, OH and I are going away over the Easter weekend to somewhere with no Tesco stores nearby! I wonder how I'll cope, it'll be like going cold turkey.:rotfl:

I've just phoned Tesco CS to complain about getting the '100 quid limit per month' email, when the email address in question has NEVER received a DTD voucher before!
The lady was apologetic, logged a call with IT support using the email address as the customer identifier, and will get back to me.
I don't mind being barred for breaching a limit, but it's a bit rich to do so before you've received any vouchers!
As an IT pro, I'm intrigued to hear what the reply is.0 -
Slight problem with that thought.
Anyone using public computers, ie library, college, Uni, works etc, would all have the same IP and cookies. Meaning only 5 claims could be made from each place.
I can assure you that that is not the case.
Thanks - I was pointing out that T have all the info to hand in the form of tracking analytics based on their logs and local cookies on the computers of all visitors to their websites (both at time of entering receipt details, and upon retrieval)
Without getting too technical; college, uni and workplaces have users logging in to shared computers - their cookies are not shared.
T's management reports will identify "potential" high-value DTD customers using multi emails, etc. But they need to consider situations where several individuals input their legitimate receipts on the same computer (like in the Asda Price Check TV advert) so aren't likely to use this threshold to fire off over-limit emails.
T are one of the most skillful users of business data - that's why they take something like £1 in every £6 spent on the high street. Clubcard was the driver for this - when T say, "It's our way of giving something back" I chuckle, because the information they gather from it is worth far, far more to them than the few pounds they pay back to customers.0 -

Does this mean that you could use say a voucher for £20 on a shop that comes to less than £20?
I was told by the trout at my store I had to get it up to £20!
no, this was in response to a trout telling me that Tesco would be imposing a minimum spend/number of items bought, to stop people abusing the spirit of the scheme. She obviously didn't have a clue what was going on .0 -
you really think they have thought this all out and have some great database and tracking system ??
Well they certainly have a great database, hence why from the receipt details they can find your shopping in the millions of transactions per day.
As for the tracking, no they wont have a system other than has email address X reached £100 or more this month, but that means the bones of all the data is there if they want to task someone with looking into the most prolific potentials. If I were on the other side I'd enjoy the challenge of writing some queries to identify suspects.0 -
