difficult to understand what you're saying, but did you buy a reduced pack of lamb which is on the DTD spreadsheet?

if so, then you won't get DTD based on the original price; instead you'll get DTD based on the reduced price. so, depending on what you paid (and how much the item was reduced by), you'll either get a small amount on the voucher or nothing at all.

apologies my daughter woke and i tryed to be clever and ended up typing usless info

I checked Mr T website as i had heard the Whole Leg of Lamb is going to be reduced by half as from today website confirmed this

yet when i was Mr T today they had the whole leg still at the full price and this did go through Full price at tills hopefully DTD will come back
i think this may be the fact they are pre printed prices so they will be selling all current stock before they do the price change
may be a trip to see what current priced stock there i left

what about a different wireless computer in the house is this still the same ip address

    YES.

but if you turn off your router and back on.
(unless you have a fixed IP adress) it will change your IP address.
as your provider has a whole range to use and you just get put on the next one that is free.

Yikes... Just had a look at my browser cookies - T use Unique Visitor Identification cookies as well as quite sophisticated UTM (Urchin Traffic Monitoring) ones for the seperate tescopricecheck.com site.

If you use the same web browser on the same computer to access several vouchers (without clearing-out all cookies before and in-between each), T's analytics know all too well that all those different email addresses are in fact the same person.

They've just decided not to exploit this info, yet (perhaps they're piloting it with a few select DTDers?). Don't underestimate that they're using very powerful cookie-based tracking and know a lot more about us than we know about them!

I appreciate what you're saying, and thanks for letting us know about the particular type of cookies I'm sure someone more technically minded than me can find a good way round them, LOL! Thing is, that software only proves the receipts were pricechecked at the same IP address, it doesn't prove it was the same person. If there is an email pattern it could conceivably be because there are a group of people together, all using that pattern - OK not very likely but working on the innocent until proven guilty theory. So Tesco would be laying themselves open to accusations of unfairness (again) if they did this but its probably worth it to stop annoying professional DTD ers!

Does this mean that you could use say a voucher for £20 on a shop that comes to less than £20?
I was told by the trout at my store I had to get it up to £20!

Read the terms and conditions!!! The rules are very clear.

Crikey, do you want us to spend you vouchers too for you? :rotfl:

I reckon as much as you all like the challenge of maximising the benefit I reckon there are a few geeks at Tesco HO who love proving how adept they are at tracking us all down!

as the earlier reply, they can even get the basics right in this, they cant even get teh vouchers to print the correct details. they cant even tell the stores what to do/expect..

you really think they have thought this all out and have some great database and tracking system ??

If there were ads of half price instore you'd be better off claiming dtd there and then I think...

No that bit is correct. You have to spend to the equivalent or more than the voucher given.

The minimum spend refers to a minimum spend on your original shop. Asda will only price check on 8 items for example. I think its referring to something similar being implemented at Tesco.

how do i clear my cookies then.

    On your task bar

    tools
    internet options
    browsing history
    delete -cookies
    delete temp internet files
    close
    OK

You really need to be doing this at the end of every session on the computer but esp if you have made an online order, done online banking etc or use a computer that has several other users, even at home

For those that are getting over the limit emails even with new email addresses where you know you are not at the limit:-

If I was Mr T tasked with looking into it, I would have a report showing me all claims listed by store by day with the highest value of DTD at the top.
There is only a relatively small hard core of people maximising the benefit, therefore, if you looked at the pattern manually, by store by day, you might see a pattern of transactions/shopping taking place with email addresses in some form of pattern. e.g if your normal one was john.smith@hotmail, and then you used smith.john@hotmail instead a manual scan would easily show this and you would then group all the claims by that person.

You could then look at other stores where any of the email addresses were used and see what patterns emerge, all the while building up a balck list of email addresses to give the over the limit to.

Similarly anyone using Clubcard, traceable payment methods etc.

I reckon as much as you all like the challenge of maximising the benefit I reckon there are a few geeks at Tesco HO who love proving how adept they are at tracking us all down!

I'm glad that my email addresses are not similar!
