I've just had an e-mail back from Mr T about the 'changes' I was told would be happening shortly to the scheme ref a minimum spend/number of items bought. Rather interesting I thought....
Dear ******,
Thank you for your email to our Chief Executive Philip Clarke, to which I have been asked to respond.
It is disappointing to learn that upon redeeming your price check voucher you have had to wait so long for the voucher to be checked. I appreciate that this must have been quite inconvenient for you.
All stores have been given a full brief relating to Price Check and are always updated in any changes that have been made. It is concerning that a Duty Manger has claimed that they do not know enough information to provide help to their colleague or you. I am very sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused you.
I have contacted ********, Store Manager and informed him of this incident. All staff that are unsure of the price check terms and conditions, and how the vouchers should look will be given further training to prevent an incident like this from occurring again.
It is also concerning that you have been advised that further restrictions are to be applied when using the voucher. I have investigated this and we have not looked into a minimum spend being applied to the voucher. I am very sorry that a staff member has informed you of this.
Once again I would like to apologise for the inconvenience that this has caused you. This is not the type of service that we aim to provide.
Thank you for contacting the Chief Executive’s Office and allowing us the opportunity to resolve this issue.
Kind Regards0 -
Hiya
I know this is off topic (but this is the chat thread). Anyway I just thought I'd post this link to another grabbit which might be useful for those who used their big vouchers for a kindle but haven't managed to drag themselves out of this thread to look at other grabbits recently

let us no if that works as mine was for lamb baaaaaaaaaaaa!!
I did it yesterday with a receipt I didn't get back for a week or more! Someone suggested it yesterday and I tried and got my voucher today! Just put it one minute back and if they question it I'll say, well maybe I typed it in the wrong way but got back the right receipt and a voucher?! might be useful to print out the screen before the voucher too so they can see the items? I didn't as my store never checks the numbers0 -
this is a crazy idea..
any SA checking could easy see the difference and flag it up..
Sure, it's only for the brave ones and those with easy-going stores... It could be refused of course but printing out the result page with the items you bought could help too... I got my voucher this way today and will use it tonight :cool:0 -

guess your opinion on things changed then.. :whistle:czerniacha wrote: »IT DOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Complicated one here..... can someone advise if I have got my maths right. That is if they can follow what I am writing!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
*Confirmed* purchaced saturday, prices not changed.
WILLIAM GRANTS SCOTCH WHISKY 70CL £ 14.99 £ 12.00
Found on a womble...... But there is something to add!!!!
Only valid till 19/04 spend £30 and get the whisky for £9
Thing is, it still shows as costing £14.99 on receipt, 5.99 is taken off as a multibuy!!!!
So you would get £5.98 dtd and £5.99 discount = £11.97 off so actual cost £3.02
This leaves you with £14.02 dtd value to play with on your £30 shopping to get back £20, or £7.01 cash value, so you need to get equal cost, N/A or lower dtd items. The list would take a lot of working out, but could be worth it for a £3 bottle of whisky!
If I can work out a list I may have a go for a shop later today. Looks worth while to keep as a chrimbo pressie!!!!
Anyone else care to help me work out a list for the shopping, like everyday useful things on offer both in Tesco and Adsa? My brain is minced from just writing this!!!
Is the £30 spend/£9 bottle of whisky offer nationwide? TIA.Over the weekend I purchased the Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 razor, think it was £8.19 in Tesco and £4.00 in Asda. Got my DTD ok on it. The pack comes with two blades so I thought I would check out the price of blade packs in store. At the end of the isle there were quite a few things reduced and amongst them were loads of packs of the blades.
I purchased an 8 pack reduced from £13.79 to £6.89 :eek::eek::eek:.
Going back tomorrow to get more!!!! Have checked online and they are still £13.79 but might be worth asking a SA to check the price for you as they might all be reduced.
Just buy more razors... they pay you to take them away! :beer:went into mrt today armed with two vouchers one for me one for my mum lol did two shops and seperated them,i wear a hearing aid in one ear as im slightly deaf well she put first shopping through fine signed receipt put in till then came the second lot well she turned and said think you can only use one voucher i said pardon pardon im deaf showing here my hearing aid i carnt hear you...to which she say oh never mind and place the dtd voucher in till, mimming to me very slowly have a nice day to which i just smiled:D.oh what things come in handy when you need them lol.:D:D

there not tracking ips..
they advertise to use public places as not everyone has pcs/internet
For those that are getting over the limit emails even with new email addresses where you know you are not at the limit:-
If I was Mr T tasked with looking into it, I would have a report showing me all claims listed by store by day with the highest value of DTD at the top.
There is only a relatively small hard core of people maximising the benefit, therefore, if you looked at the pattern manually, by store by day, you might see a pattern of transactions/shopping taking place with email addresses in some form of pattern. e.g if your normal one was john.smith@hotmail, and then you used smith.john@hotmail instead a manual scan would easily show this and you would then group all the claims by that person.
You could then look at other stores where any of the email addresses were used and see what patterns emerge, all the while building up a balck list of email addresses to give the over the limit to.
Similarly anyone using Clubcard, traceable payment methods etc.
I reckon as much as you all like the challenge of maximising the benefit I reckon there are a few geeks at Tesco HO who love proving how adept they are at tracking us all down!0
