Tesco/Asda Pricechecker Thread - part 5

Hi I also visited the store last night and was really embarrassed as the sales assistant shouted across to the supervisor "we've got another one of these vouchers". She came marching across and told me I could not use a voucher to purchase more goods. as my receipt showed I had used a voucher on my previous shop. When I asked her where it stated this in terms and conditions she pointed out on my voucher "this voucher has no cash value". She said if I paid wuth cash or card I could then input receipt and then they would accept new voucher. Also said she had to tell loads of people same thing that day. This was done in front of a queue of people at checkout. I felt like I'd committed a crime, backed down and paid for my shopping. This was only the second voucher I'd used and was nervous to start with, definately won't be doing it again.
However good luck to you all and many thanks to all who compile and update spreadsheet.
Hi MissSport
Please don't let this put you off, try again. I've not had the same trouble, but I'm ready for it.
On the Price Check, the page you first see when it tells you "Sorry......" actually states (my bold)
"This time, your shop would have been £ 8.00 cheaper at ASDA so we'll give you a voucher for double the difference back!**
You can use it on your very next shop at a till in a Tesco store or by giving it to your delivery driver for a tesco.com online grocery shop."
I've got a page printed off ready to whip out if necessary. Nowhere in the Terms and Conditions does it state that the vouchers can't be used in this way.
Why don't you email Customer Services and complain, what have you got to lose?
Hope you get back out there today.
LovingTescoToday"However, Tesco clearly underestimated the Great British Shopper's eye for a good deal."

I agree, no cash value means that you can't exchange the voucher for cold hard cash, it has to be used as money off a Tesco shop.
If it were me I would be telling her this and if she was particularly nasty I would be making her look like an idiot for even suggesting it in front of everyone. Stand your ground and make them call head office to confirm.
Also you would have paid by cash or card as well as voucher anyway as you have to spend more than your voucher, and it will show on your receipt you did, even if it is a few pence.Comping wishlist for 2017

Quick question...........
Instead of 'killing off' a voucher/receipt could I just not carry it forward to next month?
TIA

There is a benefit to heading North, it wil leave all the grockles to clog up our roads.
Although sunny Devon is a little overcast this am,
Go on indulge me, what is a grockle?
Doesn't sound that good to me!
There is not much in the way of any industry in that part of the country so you lot heavily rely on tourism don't you?
Not a nice name to call tourists is it?0 -

T&C ' s No1 states about linksave and associated product discounts not being compared.
